Utah agrees. This was a quick departure for a very nice-looking draft pick, but we had seven legitimate safeties on the roster and there was just the sense that those numbers were excessive. We'll now be able to keep one more some guy at whatever position ;P
Harding, we think, is probably going to end up at SS with run-stopping and picking off passes being his strengths.
What made him trade-able here was what he had to deal with: a first round safety this year, a +5 safety drafted last year, and on top of that two youngish quality incumbents (Lance Morris being a +6). Not enough development time to go around to see what Harding may become.
