I would say 25% to 33% be the maximum value difference, which this deal doesn't come close to, or even the new proposed deal.
*wants 2 1st round picks for WR Ike Baker 55/55 with pedestrian stats year in and year out...but says 3 1st rounders for 1.3 is not fair or within boundaries...*

Maybe, just maybe, the draft value chart isn't so much a rule but a guideline.

When it comes to the Draft Pick Points Chart: Let human intuition be the guide. Guidelines are for the wise...rules are for the foolish.

Thatīs why I am not trading so often like I did before.

Managers are asking too much for players and want to pay so little for mine... Just building from the Draft, minor trades and FA + UFA.

Am not doing bad seems with 4 AC Championships appareances and 1 Bowl in the last 4 years...

Be careful with what you trade and with whom guys, they say Shark is a low baller, but they are much worse...

Actually, Anchorage, Kalispel, and Portland just refer to me as Senator Palpatine.

As a division rival to the two teams involved here I feel that I should weigh in eventually. I didn't like the original deal, at all. But, I didn't feel that it was something that should be stopped. I didn't like it because it gave Dutch a huge amount of picks and gave Bridge two top 5 picks this year.

I understand that in the real NFL a trade like this would be equivalent to handing Dutch a couple of championships while relegating Port City to the cellar of the standings for the foreseeable future, but I don't necessarily think that it is that way in the OSFL.

We've already seen that Bridge is very aggressive in free agency. This trade would have freed up an extra $17 - $18 million per year for Bridge to play around with. He used his picks this year on a young franchise QB and stud WR. He just signed another stud WR and has a very good WR that was drafted in the top 5 last year. He has two good CBs on his roster. Aside from DEs and OTs, those are the positions that demand high dollars. $17 - $18 million would fill several holes in the other positions or allow him to keep some of the studs he's already got.

As for New Orleans, they have a young group of great players surrounded by aging veterans. This trade would have allowed them to reload by essentially giving them two drafts each year for the next three years.

I see this as a trade between one guy that wants to rebuild via free agency and another that wants to rebuild via the draft. It seems to me that the original trade would have allowed both to follow their respective paths and they would have had a good opportunity to be successful. Being a division rival, I didn't like that.

I understand why others weren't happy with it, but I trust that both teams were doing what they see as best for their teams. Everybody seems to be happy with the new version of the trade, so this is probably all just beating a dead horse. I just thought that I'd join in with the rest of my division and say that I personally thought the deal was fine as it was originally proposed.

                    Scortch,

Much respect to you, sir. I think you've got it. In a nutshell, Bridge and I are grown folks. :)

Very satisfied that Bridge, myself, and the OSFL are happy though.
