    Agreed.

It's always nice when you find a GM who evaluates player worth at a similar level as you. Negotiations are so much better then.

Rueben is a young, solid safety who had fallen down the depth chart a bit. I wish I hadn't extended him to save some cash, but I wanted to get an extra lottery ticket for this draft.

    Thanks, Ira.

All 3 of us agree, you two do think alike. If he had been on the trade block, I would have offered a future 3rd for him. We need a safety, and we like turnover guys like him. He's easily worth a 3rd.

You are not a fan of me, huh? Bummer.

I wasn't actively shopping Amado. I was content with him backing up Dobler and Stroup (i.e.-why I resigned him).

However, Ira posted ON HIS BLOCK that he was looking for a safety, and even asked for another guy I wasn't willing to move at this point. He was PROACTIVE.

Plus, you are a division rival, dude, A third wouldn't have cut it for you.

Abado's an interesting player. He doesn't look all that special, but he does have that turnover bar and has put up some very nice numbers -- and comes with a fresh 3-year deal. The only reason I'm down on him a little is...0 zone? Apparently it hasn't hurt him very much, at least for individual stats.

I can see a team giving up a prime 3rd for him. And also a team saying "Even a 4th is too much. I'll just look in free agency." I probably would have offered a 5 and 7, because I'm a terrible cheapskate and you shouldn't trade with me

I like a modest (there are diminishing returns, IMO) amount of spare quantity in draft picks, so from that perspective Washington gets a couple of nice cracks at it, and Las Vegas throws down an investment (especially if it's an early 4). If he keeps up that 80+PD%, it'll be nice ROI.

Yea. It hurts my depth at safety but I've got a plan for that. ;)

We have not had much luck in the draft, so we are going for guys that we know what they are on paper at least. Just hope they all gel together nicely, and most of them had more than 1 yr remaining.
