To be fair, that's what I've always done... it's not new.

1 - I'd rather have my punter that can't kick more than 35 yards AND my 4th round pick

2 - Being a Red Wing for life = Priceless

LOL. I'm making an exception here. A 4th for a punter that you would have probably cut at the end of the preseason? Just never thought we would see that.

Well, it's done. Not sure what the big deal is. I have a couple extra picks in next years draft and the punter will play a huge role for the Totems given our style of play. Basically, we need to win NOW and this move improves my team. So....fug off and what not.

Also, most of the 4th rounders (especially at the end of the round, where I expect to pick) I've taken haven't amounted to much and I'd rather have the known commodity.

I see what you are doing but I'm just giving my analysis. I dont see how you need to win NOW. Your 3 biggest stars on offense are young and very good (Frye, Parrish and Allen). The only part of your team that I would even consider close to being old is the O line and they are still in their prime. The biggest issue I have with this is that you could have gotten him without giving up a pick. This punter has been on the block for weeks so no one was offering anything and jzicc was going to be forced to cut him at the end of preseason. With that said, I see your point and understand why u made the deal.

He knew Clay was going to pick him up or that I may have run that dual punter backfield

Plus, I don't have the cap room to join a bidding war if he were to be cut. Sure Frye, Allen, and Parrish are young, but I've seen what Frye is expecting in a contract extension and it ain't happening in Dakota so I need to get this team rolling now.
