I had interest in mine, but both teams couldn't pay the price. Happy with who I got.
Still sitting on 2.19 if anyone wants back in.

The players I wanted were taking the pick before mine in both rounds so far.
I'm interested in a 2nd round pick. I'd be willing to trade next years 2nd (which will be higher than the current picks). Let me know if anyone is interested in trading out. It will depend on a specific player still being available.

Since 2nd rounders seem to be of interest, Los Alamos has 2.20 and 2.24 up for discussion.

Pick(s) and/or some combination of pick(s) and trades coming up. Phone was ringing on these picks more than I expected.

We had him as a 6 (sunshine and rainbows scout) and POT overall behind Lee for hitters.Originally posted by Jistic View PostBest contact hitter available how? By INTL stats or ratings? We have him as a 5 for contact.
Please he's so young we can just go ahead and slow cook. Plus we traded some IF prospects away (Krummen/ Luna) We do that alot in Pawtucket.

Decided against my offers...thanks to everyone who participated.
Was going to pick Shirley and LaRocco but decided to grab Seeber just to press my luck at a hitter. My scout likes him and he put up some great numbers in HS.

Went with Edwin Guerrero. Like what he brings to the table, but am worried that with none of his pitches over a 4, he'll never develop into a starter. Fingers crossed, of course.

Going to look at some trade possibilities...if nothing works out I'll pick in 15 or so.

Speaking of high schoolers.....2B Tony Infante picked at 1.22. Best contact hitter available though 94 at bats is hardly a sample size. 17 years old and its never a bad thing to keep IF's coming thru the pipeline.

Awesome job scout!
My 15 mil scouting budget and legendary scout agrees with yours. We have this guy graded out as a late 2nd rounder. That's good though that we have different views.
I've been AFK all weekend so I need to get a bead on what's been going on.

I'm home and will set up a list of 3 so I don't hold things up.
If anyone is interested in trading into the upcoming spots let me know.

I have some 2nds coming up that I'd package for something with a future 1st.
Call me if you still have guys on your board.

With the second pick in the second round, the Denver Bulls select

SP Vinny Ledbetter out of Florida State University
http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/...ayer_5797.html
The potential isn't eye-opening, but what we see is a left hander that struck out 370 batters over 300 innings and walked 72. He's a fifth year senior (somehow?) and that extra year definitely pushes his overall numbers to the top, but he's also closer to ready than most guys that will be selected in this round.

I think for him the magic thing is the 8-7 pitches, the 7's across the board on ratings and the 5 stamina.Originally posted by Clay View PostYeah... like Gray, Franco and Bonilla. 0 for 3. Still trying with RJ Manning and others. Those are semi-safe gambles in the low 1st early 2nd. Worst case a good to great reliever. Still dont have the stones to try a two pitch guy in the majors.
I see a little Dimmick. I know Dimmick has that third pitch but its a 3.
It's a gamble but I really feel he can do it. That's if OSA and my scout are right. Obviously he could be overrated.
