I'm sure this has happened before, but I've never seen it. We drafted a guy that played in the HS feeder league...went undrafted after that. Then went into the college feeder league after a few years off.

Lol, I still laugh at the obesity issue on his BLB pitching staff. Only kid that isn't a hunk of lard is his closer "Doorbell" and I'm sure its cuz he hasn't been in the Org long enough to know whats on the menu.Originally posted by Spear View PostWhat about 250 "Jistics"?
Its a disgrace to the BLB right now and must be dealt with severly.

Never like to put a lot of stock into HS numbers but hard not to get excited about 1B Gil Green.

He's a big boy at 6'4 and has a very healthy Windy City weight of 250 lbs. Had a great freshman year than struggled for two years before having a big year in his senior season again, Green hit .490 w/ 13 homers and 39 RBIs in 40 games.
Hopefully he can develop into a full time DH in the future.Last edited by Spear; 07-03-2013, 09:42 PM.

Pawtucket on full auto.
Well liked my first two picks, but got very iffy after that. My believe after mid/late third drop off came to be.
Like Pat, like some input on my first round picks. Was my scout crazy? One looks like a OBP type and another looks to be a solid contact hitter. No power hitters this draft, they grow on trees.
Thoughts?

Still moving at a good clip, but a friendly reminder that we're on 2 Hour clocks now.

I was happy to see him sitting here at this spot. As you say there are a few options with him. Just about ready to pack it in for this draft.Originally posted by Lintyfresh85 View PostLove the Jamie Cook pick by Los Alamos.
Has the skills to be a solid reliever, but just enough promise as a catcher to maybe give him a look there as well.

Like all high schoolers, Kataoka will take time. My scout had him 3rd with contact and 8th hitter overall.Originally posted by Pat View Post1.23 - OF Makato Kataoka
2.23 - RP Armando Fuentes
S2.7 - IF Travis McDowell
Fuentes..... yeah wasnt jumping up and down about him. Our league is so saturated with bullpen arms right now. Should be solid though.
Travis OPS has gotten better every season. Not digging his strike/ walk ratio right now. Possible slap hitting 4th outfielder.
As for Osburn, my scout shows he can play some OF so probably going both ways in single A for a season then decide.Last edited by funclown; 07-01-2013, 08:17 PM.
