Seems the projected budget allows for it, but thats not locked down either until after the season tickets are tallied. Also, expect a $.18 increase per ticket. Last year my projected gate increase was about 20%. Seems inline with our increase in actual revenue.

Lol, gonna need an accountant soon.

I'm still trying to sift thru it cuz last year it shows we MADE 5 million ,(the accouting ledger is so MUCH better) but then 7 ml in revenue sharing. My payroll is also stable basically from last season.

Bottom line, got a trade that will free up about 10 million, getting an extra 5 million, bottoming out our PD and scouting and also might be letting some guys go.

We will be ok.....but not great.

Where did the revenue go though, I guess I'm confused. My cash hasn't increased, my money for extensions or FA hasn't budged much, and scouting and PD is still the same... My payroll remains at $112 to 118m every season...

I guess I don't mind giving up $7m since I have one of the highest budgets in the league. If it keeps things somewhat level that is fine with me. I remember when I first took over and just got crushed market wise. We had the worst record in the BLB in 2000 after blowing it up because we didn't have the money to compete. With 14 straight winning seasons, 6 playoff appearances, and two rings we are in the upper level now.

I don't want to see some teams with $50m more to spend, but I also want to see the money based somewhat on winning and losing.
I agree with all of this.

Yep. Playoff revenue was doubled by design in 16.

There should be an Accounting Tab in your front office that should have your balance. That should be the amount you need to get back to black.

    This is correct.

Fortunately, no one here wants to just print more money.

Teams that continue to run a deficit will have to eventually pay the piper for a year or two. However, we do need to get rid of that 5MM bailout to stop the rich from getting richer.

The longer teams wait to try and compete, the bigger the gap becomes. Then you have team that are big AND fiscally responsible (DVS). That is why it is so hard for anyone in the Bock to catch him. That is the drawback of bottoming out.

You can't have it both ways.
I haven't run a deficit since I went from 42 wins to 114 wins or whatever. Then I only ran that deficit for that 114 win season to add players for that particular playoff run.

Every season I've been fiscally responsible, but I seem to keep giving money away. My team budget, I believe outside maybe one season here or there, has never had a payroll over $120-122m. That includes not putting all zeros in for scouting and PD. I've never done that as I think it's not fair play, personally speaking.

I feel like whatever money I make never finds it's way to cash. OOTP gives it to my owner - i.e. I lose it. Or it goes to losing teams through revenue sharing i.e. - I lose it.

Losing teams and small teams should have disposable income too, but not at the expense of profitable teams.

    In revenue sharing? Good lawd!

EDIT: Duh, I'm sure I lost that much due to being in the red this season. I'm a bad owner.
