I didn't know we could add money to our budget? That doesn't seem right. I thought we could only add to cash or buy down a deal? Adding to budget thinks it would affect future seasons.

    Maybe I'm wrong.

No. We can't add to the budget. Wrong choice of words. We also can no longer buy down deals.

But this has hindered our ability to participate in FA.

I'm not really sure if it matters but probably after the calendar flip. There's a lot to do post 1/1. New teams, new logos, new stadium names, money stuff...

Hmm. Looking at the math, it looks like the cash may have been added under "other Misc" as the combo of owner cash and misc cash is 10MM.

I love how fast Dave Robinson came off his high-horse.
He was asking for $12M/yr and ends-up signing with KC for $1.5M. Nice work Andrew!
He did hit 19 HR's for me in a very short amount of time. Incredible when you see how bad his batting average was. But for that cash, you really can't lose.
I think he has potential to produce well above his pay grade for you.

This. When a commish makes an adjustment to cash balance it shows up there.

Oh. Well I don't know crap about money or financials.

After we lost $32m in 2020 due to revenue sharing and our owner taking it we somehow start out in the negative this year.

Honestly shocked that I landed Roman and Rosaro. The Roman contract is certainly a huge risk for me, but I was fortunate to have some financial flexibility, and the salary structure/4th year opt out make it more palatable.

Hoping Rosaro is the real deal. A future back end with him and Elliott is dreamy.

It was difficult to hold back on some of those International FA's but we're making it a priority to lock up our young core for a long time.

I liked him but he was a little too dominant for our team. Created some negative vibes for our young guys.
