Honestly, how the EFF does Fred Newkirk break the top 20 for prospects?!??
His numbers are pedestrian at best. Even his projected numbers aren't that great. He actually hit pretty well in the handful of games he played for the Mohawks.
I don't even consider him my top SS prospect in my own system. Pat Borts looks like he has more upside than Newkirk.
    I don't get it.

Otherwise we are going have 36-38 players up for spring. When you suck this is what you do, give kids some practice. Also will have two of our top 100 pitchers up this spring, but most likely won't keep either of them up to start the season. June draft is they're time.

    Its all about timelines now.

We are young but I think my rotation will surprise a bit this season.

Yea with his bat he'll get some time to spell Gosser and whoever wins third base.

Hell he might still get the spot at third.

              I agree with this message.

I'm still trying to figure more interesting things like what makes a good hitting prospect today????

The minor league system report says SP Tom King is "ready" for the BLB.

I'm as much of a "Call him up now!" guy as anyone in the league. I might be the leader by a mile.

I wouldn't call him up yet. Wait until his changeup is usable, at least a 5 rating. Even if it takes until 2022, I'd wait.

He will make the Spring Training roster. He can hangout with some veteran leaders and meet the pitching coach I paid top dollar to specifically work with King. He won't pitch at all but it will give him a little taste of BLB life. I think the earliest he would get the call would be June and we would have to have a need at SP and be north of .500, which seems unlikely.

An offseason in Wilmington of retaining our core players through arbitration. Will have some tough choices coming up as players like Surmeier will be getting long term deals in the future.

Decent offseason for the Racers. I'd still like to acquire another bat, but I'm loving the way my pitching is set up. My top 3 starters have the potential to be very good if Roman is the real deal.
