2024 Draft Utility

The draft is already like herding cats at times. Play out a scenario where you roll back even 3 picks (potentially 12 hours of clock time) and try to get everyone on the same page again to pick back up after the rollback. Not to mention the impact on draft lists.

The draft utility has been open for a week. Everyone in this league longer than a season knows by now that the draft kicks off shortly after the season starts.

The first thing anyone should do once the first sim kicks off is ask, "Has the draft started? I should check."

This is inexcusable and honestly it's giving me flashbacks of Tom.

If you don't have time to check in on whether the draft is about to start, maybe it's time to leave.

We played it safe with SP T.J. Rountree. There were two other pitchers ...but that dam stamina. Also two infielders that caught my attention, but everyone felt like a swing for the fences which I generally hate to do in the first round.

TJ my scout has him probably a #2/#3 6-6-6 POT while OSA seems to like him a bit more 6-7-6. Has nice velocity, stamina of 7 and is of good moral character. Nothing eye popping while playing for the U.

He's actually not a bad pick though. Has an 8 for contact, great college stats, nice intanigbles and looks like he could be converted to a quality OFer if he doesn't pan out as a middle-infielder.
