I can see your point here. I guess id like to hire a guy with a good track record rather than going for a guy with no rep.

I don't really see the problem. Someone who is unproven is not necessarily bad. It just means they haven't built their reputation yet. When choosing someone with little reputation, I look to see what the text says about them and how they stack up when it comes to relationships.

Agreed. I do the same. I was just pointing out why there aren’t guys with high reps in the pool.

The lack of personnel is disturbing. We got screwed when our manager and bench coach left. Everyone else has Legendary coaches...we have Unproven and Fair with nothing else to choose from.

I hate this. I also got screwed when my Legendary hitting coach left. I cant make any moves with some of these guys because there is nothing to replace them with.

Yes they will reject your offer if they don't want to be in A ball.

Also, they can refuse a demotion.

All my coaches are ecstatic about their employer so I've never run into that issue before.

I've seen some of my coaches go from unproven to Fair and Decent, so I"m hoping they continue to develop.
I wonder if the Development budget also affects coaches/managers?

BTW, will coaches in lower levels, who have great reputations, demand to move up the ranks, or even refuse to re-sign if they're kept at the bottom?

Yes they will reject your offer if they don't want to be in A ball.

Also, they can refuse a demotion.

I am going to start to seriously consider that there is a direct correlation between being in red affects player's performance on the field.

4 seasons in cash red never saw any. My correlation was only we kept losing players and progressively became bad :(
