My 2 time BLB Champion Manager went from Legendary to Decent in 3 seasons and he retired after last season and he was the same guy, so yes Reputation is tied with results.

Ya I said that...it's based off of record I believe. But I just don't see the talent. I picked my unproven manager because he is Good for Development and has a good rep with a lot of my guys, but it would be nice if there were some veteran managers out there or at least a few more guys that have been around the block with some success.

I think those guys aren't as available because teams are overvaluing experience.

Case in point check out Pat(AA). I'm not into won-loss records in the minors to be honest.

If you look at the coach you can get a glimpse on how your players respond to him before signing him. Also (not sure if its helps) lately I've looked for coaches with relative low exp but development of "excellent" and or "outstanding". Maybe these coaches just need a chance. Plenty of good coaches out there but seem to be poor at development.

Plus funclown is cheap.

I completely agree. It's been like that for a few years. I'm thinking that is why some of my guys don't develop the way I'd like. A bunch of crappy minor league coaches and no real way to replace them.

The reputation of coaches is based directly with the results obtained by the teams that they were with. Nothing related with how they develop players, at least not yet. Same with the Scout ratings.

They won't be better just because they have an excellent reputation. They are what they are, but we can't see the ratings no more, we have to guess them by the description of them.

I can see your point here. I guess id like to hire a guy with a good track record rather than going for a guy with no rep.

Sure, most people would. Like Delandis said, that's why most guys with good track records are already employed!

The lack of personnel is disturbing. We got screwed when our manager and bench coach left. Everyone else has Legendary coaches...we have Unproven and Fair with nothing else to choose from.
