I have some ideas that might help that situation, if you're interested.

Got a little movement this week... Pittsburgh got hot and lost their spot....

        Wilmington Wildcats (42-81 - 0.341)
        Pittsburgh Millers (43-80 - 0.350)
        Morgantown Mohawks (44-79 - 0.358)
        Sin City Gamblers (48-75 - 0.390)
        Batavia Muckdogs (52-71 - 0.423)

With just 29 games left to play, you don't want to rule anyone out... but with 7 more head-to-head games, I like it to come down to Morgantown and Wilmington with Wilmington taking the CCC due in no small part to 9 games on their remaining schedule with 1st Place Washington.

Got love Morgantown showing the league who wants it the most and jumping back into the lead for the Cup!!

          Morgantown Mohawks -- (48-88 - .353)
          Pittsburgh Millers -- (48-88 - .353)
          Wilmington Wildcats 2GB (50-86 - .368)
          Sin City Gamblers 6GB (54-82 - .397)
          Batavia Muckdogs 9GB (57-79 - .419)

Morgantown and Pittsburgh sit tied with the Mohawks holding the tie-breaker due to their 1986 record - which won them last year's Co-Commissioner's Cup. The Wildcats stay within striking distance while Sin City and Batavia really need to get after it if they want a chance.

If they finish the season tied, I think there should be a one-game playoff. And I think the hitters' and pitchers' roles should be reversed (Pitchers bat, hitters pitch).

I really hope there is a way to make this happen.

                And then there were 4...

With a really good week from Batavia, they've officially taken themselves off of our Watch List for the CCC. Leaving four squads to battle it out for the biggest prize in the BLB.

                Morgantown Mohawks -- (50-93 - .350)
                Pittsburgh Millers -- (50-93 - .350)
                Wilmington Wildcats 2gb (52-91 - .364)
                Sin City Gamblers 8gb (58-85 - .406)

19 games to go and Sin City hangs dangerously close to falling out of the running. The Mohawks and Millers continue to battle loss for loss in their quest for #1.

Morgantown takes on California and Los Alamos, two teams with playoff aspirations, while Pittsburgh has a slightly lighter draw with Los Lunas and Syracuse. The team that wants to be #1... is really going to have to play like #2 this week!

                  CONGRATS TO PITTSBURGH!!!

The Millers claimed the 1987 Co-Commissioner's Cup!!! Despite people outside your organization arguing to the contrary, your team is in fact a bunch of pussies!!!

Best I can tell... the '88 Draft order should look like this:

                    1) Pittsburgh
                    2) Morgantown
                    3) Wilmington
                    4) Batavia
                    5) Sin City
                    6) Hyundai
                    7) Pawtucket*
                    8) Syracuse*
                    9) Baltimore*
                    10) Davenport
                    11) Virginia**
                    12) Los Lunas**
                    13) Windy City**
                    14) Denver
                    15) Dallas
                    16) Los Alamos#
                    17) Carolina#
                    18) Philadelphia##
                    19) Hartford##
                    20) Mississippi***
                    21) California***
                    22) Indianapolis
                    23) Maine
                    24) Washington

                    * = Three way tie - PAW gets best pick by virtue of '86 record. BAL and SYR had same record in '86, so went to '85 to break that tie.

** = Three way tie - Order based on 86 records

                    # = Tie - Order based on 86 record

                    ## = Tie - Order based on 86 record

                    *** = Tie - Order based on 86 record

The last time I got the #1 pick I got Howard Haydon, so I expect this pick to suck just as much if not more.
