I've been looking at stats right after ratings, but I'm probably wrong to do that. There's no telling if the talent level in the Cape vs College vs HS is really that different right now. As Andrew said one guy may be more developed with less potential. And of course it's only two sims worth.

I'm basically approaching this draft the same as I would any other. After a few seasons of feeder leagues I'll look at the stats more closely.

That's my biggest problem. How many pitches a guy throws shouldn't be an issue, it's how effective those pitches are. So is Cochran a reliever with two pitches or a starter with 7? Not to beat a dead horse, but without multiple scouts and with quite a few of the feeder league guys with no OSA report, it feels like another "broken" part of the scouting system.

It's really weird how far off OSA is from what scouts show for him.
I didn't know OSA and the scouts had different opinions on # of pitches a guy throws.

Something that made me wonder was he started all his games so far. But I do realize a player probably doesn't need 3+ pitches to start in the feeder leagues.
Speaking of feeder leagues & stats...even though we have a small sample size is anyone looking at scouting + stats to help them? I looked at them very lightly but tried to not let it skew my decision.

My scout has COchran with two as well. That's a disapointing game feature; the number of pitches a guy throws should be non-negotiable. Any fool could interview a guy and ask how many pitches he throws. A scout would tell you if said pitches are rated 2 or 8.
Makes me rethink a few thoughts I've had.

Cochran also not on my radar... seven pitches in college is damn impressive though.

I have 2 other guys I really want (position players) so if anyone wants to work a trade I have two 3rd round picks (no 2nd round) and I also would be willing to move a prospect or pick(s) for next year.
P.S. Sorry for using the whole clock...had an insurance meeting (open enrollment time!) that took over an hour.
