See, maybe your board isn't as off of everyone else's as you first thought.
Or yours is as off as mine?????

My Scout has him with once in a lifetime type talent. 8-8-8-8-7 with 8-8-8 in the speed ratings and 7-6-7 at the OF positions. Obviously, I don't expect him to be that. But, even if he ends up at 5-5-5-5-5 with speed and defense, I'll take that.

I really liked Daly, but mainly because of those insane stats he's been putting up. My scout has him at 5-6-5-5-5, not spectacular for a first rounder, but I figured he'd be better than that. Really thought hard about taking him at 1.18, but I thought he might still be there in the 2nd. As usual, I was wrong. Nice pick.

Solid pick. Too bad he can't pitch.

    It's by design.

There are pitchers that don't throw a true four-seam fastball so Markus coded the new pitching system to give a smaller percentage of guys only a cutter/sinker/two-seamer instead of the typical fastball.

I think the argument regarding the "1" rating for a fastball was: no pitcher would keep a pitch in his arsenal that simply did not work at all.

Hey guys, I'll get my pick in before the end of the night for sure. I just got into my hotel and need to look through my draft list real quick. I'll probably reach a little bit, but we'll see.

Loved Scoley too. I didn't want a SP but if he was there and you took Moran I would've had to.

The only guy my scout has hated so far in Moran. I must of copied down his ratings wrong as everyone else seems to love him.

This would be pretty easy to test in single player. Draft a bunch of guys with 2 pitches who are listed as starters, lock them into the SP role and sim 5 years or so and see if they've developed more pitches.

Not to beat a dead horse, but without multiple scouts and with quite a few of the feeder league guys with no OSA report, it feels like another "broken" part of the scouting system.
In that case, I only trust my scout. He's an 80 overall for amateur scouting so I assume he knows what he's talking about.
