I kind of hated that you can't know what manager a player might hate before hiring said manager.

But I guess it's a way to say you don't know until they've worked together. Makes me hesitant to pay guys for long years.

Not trying to game the game. Just to do what's right for the team. I noticed my legendary mamager doesn't like some pitchers and loves almost all my fielders. So maybe background is a factor?

I've noticed patterns like that in some cases. It seems more common for a manager who is a former pitcher to get along well with the pitchers on his roster and not as well with position players, and so on. But it's not a hard and fast rules.

Free-Agents tell you if they won't play for a manager.

And in-roster players will tell you that they won't extend their contracts. But what about players in the minors or to be drafted?
