Not sure what the record is, or if this is even close, but Bob Contreras finally gave up two runs in his last start to end his scoreless innings streak at 42... and the runs came with two outs and nobody on, after posting four straight starts allowing 0 runs... Pretty impressive, for I guy I wasn't sure I wanted to sign for $5 million a year, and that now wants $20 million a year... Good luck in free agency Bob!!

After this past sim, Washington has now tied Maine in all-time wins, with 4,263.

I'm guessing this is the first time in a long time that Maine hasn't held the franchise wins record (by themselves). The Bats have never been ahead, as far as I can tell.

Kenshin Krsnich won the Pale Ale award as a reliever in 1981. I can't recall if he won the Last Call that year. His numbers were ridiculous.

Going by the in-game almanac, Harry Keppel (1978) and Finley Kinsey (1988) won both Stout Slugger and New Brew awards.

Honestly, I'm happy for him. We projected a steeper drop off (mostly on the defensive side) and he's managed to remain very productive player.

Here's to hoping he gets two more good years at that spot. I'm overpaying the next two years to get this year's cheap $6 million player option.
