That guy is a monster, I was going to try to move up and nab him. Covington will terrorize the league for a long time.

Hey king, I know I shot you a PM back when you first posted that, but I've since cooled on the idea. Just to let you know. Best of luck moving it!

Going to sit on this pick for an hour or so and see if anyone wants to move up - if you do, drop me a PM - I have a guy I can take, but my top 4 are all gone and I wouldn't mind moving down if it was the right offer. If I don't make a deal, I'll pick by lunch.

Not trying to milk the non-running-clock here, but I'm definitely hoping to move down a few spots. If anyone's interested, PM yo' boy.

The mock for Round 1, pasted from the utility...

                      1 - 1 (1) - LAC - DT Rob Whalen - LAC may also consider S Steven Beleford here.

1 - 2 (2) - ANC - DE Leslie Walker - DE isn't really a huge need for ANC, but how can you pass up Leslie Walker?

1 - 3 (3) - PH - QB Paul Covington - Not sure here. PH could use a OLB as well, they might also consider Sam Fisher

                      1 - 4 (4) - MEM - RB Paul Becker - MEM could want S Steven Beleford here.

1 - 5 (5) - LA - CB Jonathan Hanson - Jonathan Hanson probably makes a better choice than ILB Jason Cheli here, but LA could go either way.

                      1 - 6 (6) - CHA - S Steven Beleford - CHA might choose DE Norman Quinn here.

                      1 - 7 (7) - WAC - QB Austin Cash - This one's a toss-up. WAC could use a C as well, they might also consider Ernest Morris

1 - 8 (8) - PC - DE Norman Quinn - Very difficult choice here. PC could use a RB as well, they could have easily gone with Ted Hartman

1 - 9 (9) - STP - S Drew Fellows - Drew Fellows seems to make a better choice than ILB Jason Cheli here, but STP could go either way.

1 - 10 (10) - SMD - WR Tyrus Peters - Your guess is as good as mine. SMD could use a WR; another option they might look at is Mel Ransbottom

1 - 11 (11) - CHI - DT Ernest Burroughs - CHI could use a DT and Ernest Burroughs would be hard to pass up here.

1 - 12 (12) - LVS - OLB Sam Fisher - Sam Fisher edges out ILB Jason Cheli here, but LVS could go either way.

1 - 13 (13) - UTA - DE Walter Vanover - Walter Vanover might only be a slightly better pick than ILB Jason Cheli here, but UTA could go either way.

1 - 14 (14) - MTC - ILB Jason Cheli - This was a tough one to call. While MTC doesn't necessarily need a RB, they might go with Ted Hartman

1 - 15 (15) - POR - OLB J.T. Sims - Tough one here. While POR doesn't necessarily need a RB, they could have easily gone with Ted Hartman

1 - 16 (16) - BKL - CB Alfred Lynch - Your guess is as good as mine. BKL could use a CB; they might go with Mercury Huard

1 - 17 (17) - PHO - RB Ted Hartman - Tough one to call. While PHO doesn't necessarily need a RB, it makes just as much sense to pick Jorge Hansen

1 - 18 (18) - NLB - S Mitchell Prescott - Your guess is as good as mine. NLB could use a ILB as well, they might also consider Rondell Gillooly

1 - 19 (19) - MTC - RB Jorge Hansen - Very difficult choice here. While MTC doesn't necessarily need a C, they might also consider Ernest Morris

1 - 20 (20) - WAS - RB Joseph Jenkins - Joseph Jenkins might only be a slightly better pick than DE Alfred Shepard here, but WAS could go either way.

1 - 21 (21) - DEN - TE Kelly Chervet - DEN might also think about DE Alfred Shepard here.

1 - 22 (22) - NOS - S J.R. Shannon - J.R. Shannon probably makes a better choice than WR Mel Ransbottom here, but NOS could go either way.

1 - 23 (23) - MOR - C Ernest Morris - MOR might also look at DT Josh Rivers here.

1 - 24 (24) - OHV - DT Josh Rivers - DT isn't really a huge need for OHV, but how can you pass up Josh Rivers?

1 - 25 (25) - BKL - DE Alfred Shepard - BKL could look at QB Moe Spencer here.

1 - 26 (26) - CLB - DT Michael Chandler - CLB could also consider RB Boo Shelton here.

1 - 27 (27) - GAI - CB Mercury Huard - Tough one here. GAI could use a T as well, they might also consider Tim Hill

1 - 28 (28) - SFO - DT Doug Poliska - Your guess is as good as mine. While SFO doesn't necessarily need a G, it makes just as much sense to pick Archie Cassity

1 - 29 (29) - CAM - DT Jerome Howe - Not sure what they'll do here. CAM could use a WR as well, another option they might look at is Mel Ransbottom

1 - 30 (30) - UTA - G Archie Cassity - UTA could also think about QB Moe Spencer here.

                      1 - 31 (31) - PC - T Tim Hill - PC may look at RB Boo Shelton here.

                      1 - 32 (32) - DAK - DE R.J. Aldossary - DE isn't really a huge need for DAK, but how can you pass up R.J. Aldossary?

I know the mocks are sometimes silly and all, but

1 - 30 (30) - UTA - G Archie Cassity - UTA could also think about QB Moe Spencer here.
                      WHAT???????

Yuma with what looks to be the steal of the draft right now at 1.10, an elite, elite, elite defensive tackle. Cost a bit to get there, but downright scary for that talent to go to a championship caliber team like the Aces.

In Utah, we needed secondary help, and got it. Very, very tough call though. As Julio said in the draft chat, there were - and are! - six corners that he would draft in a heartbeat. None are off the board here at 17. We think that Prescott ... is better than all of them. At corner. A bold, risky gander.

This is a first round for the ages, so I hope we'll drum up some fine interest for that 1.30 pick

You're moving Prescott to corner? Huh. I think he's got the 40 for it, but I think his run defense would be better served as a SS. That's just me. ;)

Yeah, he'd be a killer SS. I'm just going to wait and see on this one. Either ways, it doesn't hurt. I just selected the guy I thought would be the best DB, regardless of position. It didn't hurt that he has the versatility to play both. If he can swing the move to CB, great. If not, still great :D

No joke. Maybe the best 1.10 pick in history.
