Two words for N.O v Port City, Ball Management

Defense kept a good offense off the field, then my offense kept things moving along slowly for nearly 37 mins TOP. I expected to lose this, so I'm really pleased with how we played

Gg whoever I played. If you won, you probably deserved it. If I won, I probably deserved it.

Too much going on right now, forgot to get an upload in. Le sigh.

Yeah, in the 3-4 the RDE is equivalent to the 4-3 RDT. Important to have a good player there, but also important to have your studliest pass rushers at end. I played the wrong guy at LDE/RDE all of last season I think.

Another roster thing: WR Shane Littlefield is your second best receiver. +5 rookie camp, +2 in the offseason, so he's climbing and not only that, he has great BPR and pretty good GD. First round pick J.B. Erickson took a -5 rookie camp and even though his ratings *look* higher right now, it's a facade that will sort itself out soon.

Also, be real careful when you play the combination of 1-deep coverage, and run aggressive. Against a team that matches up well vs your secondary and tries to exploit that, you're likely to get a lot of big plays on you. That's three things heavily stacked in favor of big plays: 1) long pass w/ good matchup vs secondary, 2) run-aggressive, 3) only one safety deep.

          gg man!

Boone threw 6 TDs (and one ugly pick) in only 15 completions (24 attempts) today. The total production differential wasn't very large; we were heavy beneficiaries of great field position, though, and it led to a blowout.

Real, real, real happy with the guy that wasn't good enough for all 32 teams through two weeks ago, WR Zach Coughlin. 2 catches, 92 yards - both huge gainers, one of them for a TD. 53 YAC.

Walter Andrews did well, considering how many passes he threw. The unbalanced attack (some of it couldn't be helped with the score) fed the Utah defense lots of 'familiars' by the end, and Andrews still stuck it out and was able to move the chains.

Lopsided victory against a bad San Francisco squad. Would have been even more lopsided if not for some red zone ineptitude on our part. 6 FGs on the day, 4 from inside the red zone.

Still we will take the W. Just enough to keep us tied with Boston and one game up on South Maryland. I got a feeling this season will come down to tie breakers at the last week again.

Roy Garner fumbled a punt return in his third consecutive game. If we hadn't won all three games, and he wasn't averaging 15.5 yards per punt return (18 on the ones he fumbles) I might consider benching the league's all time PR leader.

Burt Newman also hit the 100 yard mark for the 3rd time this season and for the 93rd time in his career. I wonder if I can get him to 100 100 yard games before he retires?

In my other league I benched a guy who had an extremely high PR value because it seemed like he kept fumbling all the time. I reinstated him the next year and he's been fine since though.

I think there is just a much higher chance to fumble on punt returns. Max has a bunch of fumbles on his stat line but I can guarantee almost all of them are on punts

Yeah, I think it does have something to do with that. I replaced my guy with another guy with pretty high PR and affinity but I think I'd just let the guy keep going if it happened again.
