I've never been one to really play around with these settings (in the past I did the 1 minute special teams thing until I decided that was no good). Last year we took Film Study down to 1 minute in the gambit that it wouldn't really affect Randy Boone, hopefully had no effects other than the potential to lose a formation here or there, and added some time to the other stuff.
This year we're doing the same thing, but concentrating more on the passing game. I like what I saw last season out of Boone, doing more with less than he had in years.
At this point cohesion is really riding on him & Foley regardless of anything — they've been together a long time — and we've lost enough cohesion elsewhere that I don't want to put too much of the spare time back into it. The thinking is I'd rather get one thing great (passing, with already great cohesion) instead of raising say, DL cohesion from average to better than average.
