    I think so?

The old conventional wisdom that probably still applies, is that a player needs about a full 1.5 games to go from extreme rust to zero rust. I don't think it matters when a player gets those snaps, as long as they're at some point during the preseason.

Players that play a full load in the final preseason game(s?) often show up after Week 1 as "tired". So those last two games are definitely roster bubble time for me.

Also for me, it's not worth it to make sure every starter is completely rust free. If they're a starter and even if they have "significant" rust Week 1, it'll go down to 0 for Week 2. Actually, it's the 2nd string guys who play less that have a harder time knocking off rust in the regular season, so those are the guys I want to make sure are game ready.

Yep! Thanks Matt. It's been requested in the past and it'll be easier to navigate this way: once you click into the OSFL forum, you don't have to click out again to the main page in order to find the trades.

Boston's #2 WR Clarence McIntyre is having an ugly, protracted holdout. I'm in a quandry here: I actually can't re-sign him. He better come back soon, though, this offense is in enough trouble as it is.

He won't come back until Preseason is over. I'm sure it's a die roll, but if he's held out this long than Week 1 or even Week 2 might be when he comes back.

Just don't expect him to ever want to sign with you. He sounds pissed.

If a player ever has to return from a holdout without a new deal, it's pretty safe to say things are over, I think.

That's okay, he's old. I just need one last, good year out of him.

Of Boston's 63 currently under contract, 39 of them are new to the team in '35. We're not scared of a little attrition

Excellent. We avoided any injuries and can start the season healthy. Always a good thing.

Now....who's getting the pink slips. These cuts are going to be tough.
