I haven't gone back and looked back into the record books, but this may be the most exciting preseason game in OSFL league history:

I do not put any stock into preseason games and the scores and results. I don't game plan much. I just give rookies playing time to develop and vets a little so they don't get rusty.

However......this last game was alarming. 67 total yards of offense. Yes. You read that right 67 TOTAL yards. 56 of that was rushing. So you can do the math as to how may yards we had in the air. Throw in the fact that we had two serious injuries to key players who's careers may now be done, and this was a brutal week.

CB Myron Regalia was just picked up this off season to help out our pass defense and special teams ruptured his elbow tendon and is done for 37 weeks. Then the most puzzling injury. 2nd year, 1st round pick and 23 year old, Connor Meadows has come down with degenerative hip condition. WHAT!?!? How does a 23 year old develop a degenerative hip condition? Yeah, well, he did. Done. 24 weeks. That's a big hit to our receiving game.

      BAH! I hate preseason

Sucks when a young guy gets a bad injury like that. When I drafted that CB Claude Race he was going to be a hell of a cornerback but one serious knee injury later and lost season later he was -30 or more. I think he bounced around the league a little after that but I cut him.

Don't want to give you bad news but in FOF2K7 it was the kiss of dead and a career ending injury, I experienced that degenerative hip condition with a couple of WRs and were done after that...

Happy with it, after Holliday's retirement we were a step behind your air attack

I get a knee injury. That happens. But this hip thing is like genetic. Lol. I blame his parents.

I remember that guy. I was going to draft him, but we interviewed him and my scouts said that he looked like he had a hitch in his step.

You can never quite count on a guy, whether it's an injury or volatility it just turns out they weren't that good all along. Three young Boston draft successes got the axe straight after Ex2 (I didn't successfully cut all of them yet, thanks to *ahem* bomber!).

They were once happy 4th/5th round stories; now they've taken up roster spots for all these years for nothing. Not much playing contribution, but what choice did I have. I had to believe they were worthy options prior to this year. Now it's time to look at what else is available around the league.

A couple other of my young players seem to have dropped big by the league scout this year, but the only reason it didn't catch my eye is they were already about that low by mine, anyway. Fortunate for me, I didn't have any delusions of that young RT being in the high 50s.

saw, I can only hope your aerial success carry over to the regular season :)

Your guy's and David Wright's parents! Those bastards! :)

Did they notice he was missing a hip, making it kinda R.A. Dickeyesque?

From what I remember he showed up for his workout with a walker.

You signed some terrible players I was eyeing!

In Ex4, we lose our starting QB for the first five weeks of the season. I'm almost tempted to place him on IR because I hate that I have to carry four QBs now. Jim!!!
