We must face Curtis Shea and the affinity/cohesion monster that is the Camden Cutters.
I must say that heading into the season, I expected Camden to take a step back this year after letting Bowl-winning QB Oliver "Electric" Balgaroo walk in free agency. Was I ever wrong. Camden went 12-4 in the division of death and new starter Eddie Clements posted 24 TDs with only 10 interceptions for a 102.4 QB rating.
Last season, despite keeping Shea in check (65 rush yds, 15 rec yds) we got beat down 35-16 in the championship game.
Hopefully this year is different and it is not a Dallas/Buffalo repeat Superbowl situation.
Congrats guys on another good year? Whats the bodog on this game?

This is a great matchup. A couple of powerhouses colliding, with one of them coming away with their second championship in the last three years. Will Camden repeat as champions or will Waco regain their seat upon the throne? I really can't call this one, but whoever wins it will have definitely earned it. Good luck to you both.
Rather than breakdown this game, I'll defer to 2038 Rando and his analysis of last year's matchup against the Waco. Text in bold is still true for this game, 2039 notes as needed.

That is a ridiculously talented team Rob has put together. They've had their share of injuries this season. They're are down to their #2 QB in DeJesus and I don't even know where the rather aptly named Poor was on the running back depth chart when the season began, butthey still have the best CB duo in the league and their #4 WR is better than my #1. If this thing somehow turns into an aerial shootout, we lose.
Since last year they've added another stud WR and another stud TE, so even though Drew Roberson has emerged as a new #1 for us, really this has only gotten worse

In the trenches LT Tyrell Edwards has been, for my money, the best offensive lineman in the game over the last 4 seasons and I'll be shocked if I see our top pass rusher's name mentioned more than twice all game. They lost their starting RT to injury last week, but once again their backup is better than anyone on my team.
This year it is our turn to be without our starting RT in the championship game, similarly last year Waco was having RB injury issues, this year it's Shae with a broken toe and to make matters worse our backup RB from last year is now Waco's backup RB

At first glance the defensive front 7 looks weak, but when you look closer you see a lot of those 20's and 30's rated guys are specialist players. They are either dedicated run stoppers or pure pass rush/coverage guys. And Rob does a great job of keeping the right guys on the field at the right time.
Last week against Chicago we changed up our offense a bit. We set aside the short passes (just 3 all game, which must have been checkdowns by Balgaroo) and focused on putting the ball downfield against what we expected to be a lot of run defense to try and stop Shea. It worked brilliantly, but there's similar gameplan trick this week for Waco. Their secondary is just too good against the deep ball. We just have to line our guys up, do our thing, and hope we catch them with the wrong set of linebackers on the field.
Still no easy way to gameplan around this team. Last year our coach went off script and threw the ball a bunch early. It worked once but with Shae limping and no other credible running threat to keep the Warhawk's runstoppers on the field I cannot see it working again.
Championship rematch. #1 offense vs. #1 defense. Waco's third trip to the big game in three years. The "Division of Death" NC East's 4th in the last 5.
Wow awesome defensive performance by both Waco & Camden in divisional championships. I look for a low scoring championship game like 14 maybe even 10 points wins the game if the 2 defenses play like they did in division games. Which defense is going to break down late in the game is the question in my mind. Both teams are deserving GLU2
