How pissed is Amir Mozart? He's the first OLB taken in the draft and he's getting paid $3.56 million while undrafted Bill Smith is making $7.13 million.

There had to be a lot of rookies watching the draft praying that their phone does not ring.

I don't really get involved in late free agency bidding. Probably to my detriment, I miss out on some UDFA gems. The main problem for me is that I usually have 55 or 60 guys on my roster by the time the draft ends. Having the significant movement reveal in preseason instead of training camp makes it pointless to carry more than 60 players (exhibition max) IMO.

Speaking of UDFA gems, Bridge pointed out his Port City safety Skip Malone. That guy looks like a great add. I am deep at the position but I still wish I offered on him.

I always try to fill up via rookies to 70 -- if only to develop a few extra guys that I like and might need to sign again during the season.

I'll never understand gaining/dropping weight. My TE I drafted is huge...275 lbs...way to heavy. I'm hoping to drop his weight but Trim Down is greyed out and "Further trimming down will have no effect."

It seems like all my heavy guys I only have the option to gain weight and all the light guys I only have the option to lose weight. I need a new nutritionist!

I think the closer they are to an average the better they perform. . I might be wrong, but I readed something about it somewhere not so long ago...

I know...I want him to lose weight to be closer to average. Therefore why is the 'Trim Down' button not available and "losing weight won't have any further affect"?

I look at it like this: A guy is 6'5", 300 pounds, but trimming down won't change anything. This is likely because he is all muscle, and doesn't have much fat to lose. Losing muscle would hurt his performance, and you don't want that.

on the other side, maybe a guy seems small, but he can't put on any more muscle or weight without hampering his abilities, rather than improving them. So a guy puts on some weight, but slows down. Not good.

Yeah, I've seen various justifications for it but I really struggled to understand what Jim is going for with this game mechanic. I usually go and see if there's something I can do with my newest batch of players, or I might pay attention if I'm eyeing a position switch...but largely, I get the impression people simply ignore this part of the game with little consequence.

I only look at it if I'm looking to change a guy's position and it's telling me that he's above or below average for the new position. If I'm not moving him around I don't really pay attention to how big or small he is.

I totally agree I see that on all my guys. They are too heavy drink beer and eat cheese pizza during training camp. Then I have the light ones who want to drink weight watchers shakes and eat toe foo & salad. I get like maybe 1 some times 2 that will beef up or trim down.

I have noticed in the e-mail part of game it says this is when to beef up or trim down for anticipated position change, so maybe is this a clue that a player should change position?

I was surprised one of my fatties was able to pack on some more pounds, so I ordered him to do just that.

Woah -- our best rookies this year are the free agent group.
