  • Draft grade usually relates to drafting team needs. At least, it has a big say in your draft grade

I am not sure that has ever been proven. I think this was postulated because no one really seems sure how the draft grade is calculated.

In some of my C+ scores I have filled with great players that were in positions of need. So I don't really buy it.

      • Quite pleased with Dean Holmes in the late 2nd round.. If he pans out, we will forget about Recker quickly.

The RB Greer and the FB both look like good additions too, so right now it looks like we were 3/3 on our picks in a weak class. Very happy with that. We also had our eyes on the G and DE turned DT, who both went within 6 or 7 picks of our selection of Holmes. Both were in the running to be picked there, but I felt really good about Holmes and we haven't had a sure fire starter at QB in forever.

        • Hrmph. Man, I hate my coaching staff. Player Tracker is a brilliant thing to help remind you what you were seeing when you drafted a guy. I'm seeing bars swing the likes I haven't seen in any of my other leagues or in sp. Coaches, that's on you, ya bastards. Oh, Third Down Running went from possibly maxed to 12? Juuuust great. Almost across the board, with the exception of our first round picks, almost ALL of the bars came in under what my staff was selling me. No, most of it wasn't apocalyptic though some certainly were.

          • Woah, who was it that went from max to 12 (potential?)

            • I completely made up the actual numbers on the guy, but this is who I meant:

              • Oh, wow.

That was a surprise! All those statics, too. I would not have been surprised to see him come out 30/42 and boom. Instead it seems like the opposite. Go figure. Did anyone not like him, and if so, what was the reason? He seemed like a good Rd3 to me.

                FWIW, I had 36/62 and 16/48 as his draft and post-draft 3rd down bars. Currently it's 12/13.

                • Ouch. I just saw that Harmon, whom I traded to Memphis, crashed to pieces. I didn't think he'd be very good, but this much of a disintegration was a surprise. Was there vol involved there, or how does a mostly red, pushing 60 BnR bar fall to the 30s?

                  Sorry for the result, Scortch.

                  • I'm not too worried about that one. It was a calculated risk that was either going to work out or blow up in my face. I'm OK with it. What's got me more upset is the -35/-35 shift in Conner Cannida.

                    • I knew DE Corey Alexander (3.12, traded to KAL) would be a playmaker. He looks like a BMF after his run defense shot up. My scout has him in the mid 60s after the ratings move.

                      • I'm probably going to cut all but one-two players from my draft class past Round 2.

                        3 3rds

                        1-2 from 4-7

Ouch! I think I sorted my DA right at the end, finally, since Denver took two of my "woulda beens."
