  • The clock is already at 6 hours. I vote we lower it to 7 minutes.

I move that Aaron pulls the trigger on Los Alamos RIGHT NOW, it's been 10 freakin' hours, gimme a break!!!!

I also move that we lower the clock now to something more reasonable so the dozen or so of us that ARE participating can get some GD satisfaction out of this. My suggestion: 6 hours and maybe open the off hours from 10pm-9am EDT.

I'm tired of waiting for all these guys!!! It's is way to inconsiderate for my taste!!!!

Rant complete, going back to being pissed at work instead of my "fun" career in FOF.
WOW... new people with shitty attitudes should do wonders for people's participation.
      The Great One!

      Too many rings to count.

For the record, the GM on the clock is Sgt. Tomorrow. Considering his earlier posts, I doubt he meant to leave the utility off. Not making any excuses for the guy but, its too late to still be mad about the length of the draft. It has already taken 3 days to get out of the first round, our best course of action is to let the draft play out and take steps to fix it next season. However, multiple offenders should have some penalty, though. Chalk it up to being a relatively new league, we are still feeling our way out, by Season 4-5 we should be good.

Strange thing is, I've seen him online twice this afternoon and he has yet to pick.

Yea, I've seen him too. Not too long ago either, about 15-20 minutes.

            • Another thing is that if the draft went quicker, this thread would have much more substance pertaining to good/bad draft picks. If you notice, every time the pace picks up people are chatting about the draft and not the LENGTH of the draft. With that being said, did everyone get who they wanted in the first round?

I definitely got who I wanted, trading up to get Cote. We needed a QB badly and other than some accuracy concerns he looks like the real deal.

                • Well considering it was later in the draft, I was surprised that Alcott was still around so I had to move up to grab him. With me striking out and not having enough money to throw around for FA's.. I think it's a perfect pick and hopefully come training camp his ratings don't disappoint.

                  • I was going to draft Ellison at 1.14 before we made the trade with Memphis. But I figure, an extra 2nd round pick would give me an opportunity to fill some holes, since the team is starting to age, just a little bit.

I think he was a steal where you got him. His combine numbers were very strong.

                      • You and I were in the same boat. I had to throw my current stars big bonus money to maintain this team for the next 3 years. If we don't win now, it may be a longtime coming.

For the record.... I thought my draft was on... don't know why it wasn't.....
I jumped on the site at work to see who I landed and noticed that my pick was in turn and it did not draft for me....

I spent the last 20 minutes trying to download the league files into this work computer but to no avail because I could not find the end of 2006 files....

My bad I guess for the delay...

Sorry folks... I am one that fills up my draft utility but I am also one who never complains when people don't... so take it for what it's worth....

Sorry about the delay, will not happen again....

                          • Does anybody want to get rid of any picks in the next round or so?

                            • Memphis selects Parrish...that really sucks. I'll be up in just a sec guys, debating on whether to get out of the 2nd.
