OSFL 2008 Draft Discussion

In order to ensure that we complete the draft prior to this weekend, I've decided to decrease the maximum time between draft picks from 6 to 2 hours. Some owners may be upset with this abrupt change but I'm making this change for the good of the league. I feel the league has lost some momentum because of the amount of time owners have been taking to make picks. I also feel that while all picks are important, picks from the final 3 rounds do not need 6 hrs of consideration. Please post below with your thoughts. Thanks.

I like the shortened time limits- If anyone is looking to dump picks in th next round or so, I'm still looking for one or two to round out a spot or two- All the players remaining in my trade block are available for any pick from now until 5.20- Good value available for anyone who wants it, right here in Yuma.

FYI, my 5th rounder is locked and loaded. However, if we hit the 6th round before I get home at 730 CST, I'm going to turn auto draft off as I need to see what's left. I'm at work right now.

The only pick I made 'live' was my first one. It's fun to load up your que, and come back later and see who you got.

So since Kalispel only has a half hour more to hold me up, was it ever determined what would be the action taken when the clock runs out? I say worst punter in the class. Or a null pick would be nice too. Nobody should get a player of any value picked for them this far into this draft.

Should probably just take the highest rated player at one of his listed team needs. His #1 need is QB, so I say we just take the highest rated QB available.

No, it's not him specifically, I'm talking in general because when the clock goes to two hours some of the guys that have been multiple time offenders are gonna get something imposed. I'd just like to know what it is and I would hope it isn't something worthwhile to those of us that are trying to find that diamond in the rough.

I'm actually looking to take my full 6 hours. Championships are won on the 2nd Day of the Draft... or the.... 5th.... or whatever we're on.
