Thats 5 hours and you didnt update us that you were going to make a trade until 2 hrs into that. Next day your new #1 pick comes up at 3:22 pm and it was made until 7:40. That equals 4 more hours. Thats 9 hrs total on the first round pick. More than twice as long as anyone else took in that round.

Then in the thrid round we waited over 3 hrs for your picks because you went to the phillies game. Thats how I get 12 hrs total but whatever. My frustration (and maybe others) with you is you apparently have a busy schedule and you have the utility but you refused to use it for some strange reason. With the exception of Heel's mistake and round 1 and Kalispel's failure to pick in round 4, you have been the main one holding people up and you know. What sucks about it is you seemed to care less about holding up your fellow owners based on your refusal to use the utility.

But i'm done with it. It is what it is. Next year, we will have a shorter time limit and I will come down harder on owners who are inconsiderate. If people see me as an ashole because of it, so be it.
I don't know what the hell forum time is, but I see the clock starting on me at around 6:30 PM, and my post that I had the trade worked out at 7:30 PM. That appears to be one hour, and I wasn't aware that I had to immediately let everyone know what I was doing, but I went ahead and posted that after you sent me messages through three different sources within the next 45 minutes letting me know that my pick was up. Oh, and you already agreed that no one was to blame for that delay.

As for the new pick, you're right, it looks like it was about four hours. You did not wait over three hours for my third round picks. You posted, "Diesel you are up." at 8:40 PM and even if he picked immediately after you posted that, and it doesn't appear that he picked for at least 15 minutes, I picked a couple minutes after 11 PM. Where are those over three hours? That gives us six hours total, which is exactly what I posted before when you went out of your way to accuse me of lying. If that's unacceptable to you and certain other owners, then you should have considered a time limit tailored to when you actually expect people to make their picks, rather than some nice round number that you apparently pulled out of a hat. No one expected anyone to seriously sit in front of their computer contemplating their pick for the entire time limit, so then for what reasons do we have the limits?

On my computer the time in the forum is different than the actual time. For example your last post has a time of 7:02 when it was actially made at 3:02. Thats forum time but lets assume that the clock is 4 hrs fast. I made a post at 6:06 that day saying i thought your pick was coming soon so that proves you were on the clock before 6:30. People were complaining about how long you were taking around 6 so I think its safe to assume that you were on the clock at least starting at 5:30. You made your update at 7 and the pick wasnt made until almost 11. Thats BS about not knowing to update people because if you would have bothered to read some of the posts before your pick, you would see I encouraged people to update us. I also see you totally ignored the fact that you spent 4 more hours once your first pick came up a second time. I dont want to even get into your time at the Phillies game but whatever.

Like I said before, I'm done with it. You could have just admitted that you werent being considerate of your owners and moved on but you want to debate semantics and say we are overreacting. Even with your clock, you still took 7 hrs to make 2 picks (1 hr the first day, 4 the second and 2 in the third round) which is much more than the large majority of people took here. Its a learning experience and I promise you this wont be a problem next year. I wont post on this anymore because it not going anywhere and you dont seem to think you did anything wrong.

Man ya'll keep missing the whole point. The point is less about the time limit and more about consideration for others in the league. The time limit is only in place for extreme circumstances. As stated before, if everyone used their time limit it would be like 2 months before the draft ended. But that's not the case, normally because every picks in a timely fashion. If they don't they have their utility filled. If not that, at the very least you let the league know you are going to be away for the the majority of your pick time. Stop taking it personal. You know how to avoid the situation in the future, make it happen. Take two seconds to let the league know you got other things to do AND want to manually select a pick, THAT'S IT. Get over it, take your frustrations out by beating Aaron in the game and call it a gotdamn day.

        • Elprez - That's a good post, but don't ask me to "Stop taking it personal." I didn't go out of my way to make anything personal.

We obviously disagree about time limits and what was expected of each owner in making their draft picks. I'm sure everything will be more clear next year and we won't have this difficulty again.

Hey Aaron, if we finish the 7th round tonight, would you be able to import our rookies for the next sim?

I have to talk to Skerik because I may have to wait until the draft is over until I can distribute the next sim. The sim scheduled for Sunday is the first round of negotiations for rookies and undrafted rookies, so I think the rookies will have to be on each team and the undrafted rookie pool will have to be set for me to run the next sim.

Agree, we need to know how the players we drafted look so we can make educated moves in late FA. Plus we need a shot at undrafted rooks.
