I understand. However, just seems the first round would be faster as the selections are pretty black and white, especially the first 10 picks. I mean, I did get up when I really didn't want to this morning after I knew the draft had started. I just knew it would be close to my pick when i got up...lol.

OK, this is rediculous. Can't blame "Sunday football" on this ... it is now 5:30 PM EST ... if you were at / watching a 1:00 game, you should be around by now. If you are at / watching a 4:00 game, you should have picked well before the start. As the Commish of a Madden league and having run at least 15 drafts, THIS is frustrating... some would even go as far as say selfish.

It does happen every season but it shouldn't. That's the point, I think Bill is trying to make. Why go through the trouble of having a draft utility if its not going to be used, right?

Guys, relax. I can see if the draft utility had been up for two days but it wasn't ready until about 2 hours before the draft. Things will pick up. Have some patience for crying out loud.

yep, day is almost over and we aren't even half way through the first round. well feveryone will be at work tomorrow. If the 10th overall selection comes during the hours of 10-7 CST tomorrow, my pick won't be made until I get home. I'll use the utility in later rounds but for my 1st pick I'd like to be here to make it as I still am unsure of what to do with the pick. I know what direction I need to go in but it's not an attractive direction. I'll be reaching but would be addressing a desperate need. Still deciding on BPA or Need.

Andrew, I hear what you are saying ... to a point. But you cannot deny the fact that EVERYONE KNEW the draft was starting TODAY @ 10:00 AM EST, right? Regardless whether or not the Draft Utility was FULLY ready to go last night or this morning or even by Noon today.

I have learned, it is common curtosity to let the league know you won't be around for an extended period of time during a draft or what not. Besides, it negates all the work you and the Commish have put into this draft.

I may be a rookie for FOF, but I have been around online football for a LONG time.

Just my honest opinion, for whats its worth.

Exactly my point. We have 32 owners in this league. Not everyone works M-F, 9-5. I can understand complaining if this happened 2 days from now after everybody's had a chance to enter a list, but not on day 1 of a draft that was delayed and had technical issues to begin with. The constant bitchfest during the draft kills the fun of one of the most enjoyable portions of the OSFL season. It happened last year and it's already happening again this year.

Come on guys, it's the 1st day, the utility just started working.. everyone can't exactly be on the same schedule as everyone else. Set the players you want in order, even if you don't think they're going to be there and it should be smooth sailing. No need to get all antsy and upset.

all, yes, I may sound like an a**hole with that last statement, but I am just speaking the truth. it takes less then a minute to post a note you will not be around for "X" amount of time. That's my only point.

Surprised to see another QB go so quickly. Did I steal your guy Heel? I needed to upgrade my offense and just didn't think I'd get a guy I wanted at #12 so decided to move up.

diesel is in Las Vegas and sent me a list. He had Duffy as his #1, so he'll be happy.
