We are going with 4 and 2 this year based on the vote. I think this year will be a bit of an experiment. This is as short as I think the draft should go so if this years draft feels rushed or if more time is needed, we can always add more time next year.

That's why it's better to have a group of courteous owners than hard-and-fast short time limits, guys. If someone has the 1st pick in the 2nd round, they should be able to trade down if their top several guys are gone. Personally, I think the limit for rounds one and two should *never* be below 8 hours, due to sleep time. *shurg*
        I completely agree with this.

The clock doesn't run on the utility between Midnight and 8am ET. Picks can still be made during this time but if a team doesn't pick they should still have time the following morning.

I agree to but we have to deal with reality. I would love to have 30 courteous owners who have no responsibilities during draft weekend other than the OSFL draft but thats not the case. We all have lives and activities whether its family, social, or work related to deal with and the OSFL draft falls far behind those in importance. We saw last draft that just a few owners had other responsibilities (all justified and more important than a fantasy football league) and that slowed the momentum of the draft and made it feel more like a chore than the best part of the season.

              I voted 6 and then 2 ...... but ideally

this is imo how it should go

              8 for first
              5 for 2nd
              2 for the rest

The draft is really a fun part of this sim and too many leagues rush through it --- Yes we all won't be 100% courteous but with the utility it should go quickly --- plus the first 2 rounds are the most important and I hate when a commish has to pick the BPA for a timed out owner and it happens to be the player I was going to pick...

8 just seems to be too long for any round imo. I dont want to rush the first round either but unless everything goes perfect, you are looking at a first round that goes 2 days or more. My perfect draft would be one where the first two rounds are complete or close to being complete by Sunday (the second day). Once it drags into the week we have to deal with work schedules, family commitments and other things. I'm interested to see how the new time limits work and if it makes the draft go by too fast than we can address the time limits again after the draft.

RDFL day 6 --- still in the third round --- using a draft utility ---- with respectable (I think lol) Brits and with round time limits; but it's not a big deal -- it's all in how you set your expectations....

I see what your saying. I just dont think that the owners in this league want drafts to drag on for more than a week or multiple weeks. I know I dont.
