    I've got Dusty next week...

St. Paul/Memphis should be a great game.

Defense picked up where the they left off in the pre-season, that was good to see. The running game was very good, and Kaplan showed some maturity and efficiency against a very tough defense.

One thing that might seem small, but is pretty big for us is we may have found a kicker in rookie free agent Clarence Worley. He was terrific in the pre-season and hasn't skipped a beat. Our veteran last year was an adventure every kick.

Overall this was a very workman like, professional win. The turnovers no doubt put NL in a hole, but we capitalized nicely. We seem like our young team may be growing up, but we'll see over time. The one thing I didn't like that I saw last year is penalty mania. Gotta clean that up.

Anyway, after last season, it's just nice to get a win.
Yep. All the fan favorites have nicknames. I knew it was over when we missed that field goal at the end of the first half. A 34 yarder?

Oh, word to the entire OSFL, do not throw to Leo Duffy. He two picks in his debut.
Agreed on all accounts. I was getting very nervous that we allowed you to stay in the game for so long. Leo Duffy is a beast.

Oh and that Dotson signing looks mighty good right now.

Tito Garrison starts the year with a nice 5.0 sack game. Guess he was tired of all the Peterson talks in the offseason and wanted to show just how damn good he is as well.

Garrison has five times the number of sacks my entire team has.

Hahah, yeah I saw that. He was something ridiculous like 12/12 for 190 yds and 3 TDs, at halftime. Like Tom Brady, he has a pretty easy job with all the talent around him. We certainly hope this is an indication of how the season will go, but it's early and anything can happen.

The defenses were the story in our game against Vegas.. We got out early and looked strong at 10-0, but then the Vegas defenders ate Jumbo Clements alive and we couldn't sustain a drive to save our lives. Neither team had even a mediocre day offensively, but the field position game came into play when Vegas kept getting nice 20 plus yard punt returns. Some key turnovers also helped them shorten the field and put up points.

I don't know what happened to our pass rush after the first half though. Bishop had absolutely no time to throw for about his first 15 attempts, but we couldn't put him on the ground after that.

GG Vegas, we shall meet yet again.
