1.25 (25) LDE Marvin Bullock 6'4 - 272
Bullock tied for 4th amongst DEs for highest test score. Was 2nd, behind DE Isaac Andrews in bench reps. Above average agility, .03 from a blue score. Tied for first in broad jump. Highest development percentage as well. He should be able to start right away at RDE, opposite Wally Turner. He might need to add a little weight to be an ideal 3-4 DE, but I am really excited to bring Bullock on board. With the additio of him and Turner, my defensive line looks completely different.
2.21 (53) SE Gene Burton 5'11 - 182
Sub 4.5 speed. Two bench reps from a blue score. Top ten agility score. Tied for 6th in position drill. Above average development percentage. Should be able to come in and challenge for the #2 spot. That isn't saying much. Beyond #1 Sammy Slade, I don't have a whole lot at WR.
5.16 (144) LT Lester Conway 6'5 - 313
My bookend tackles are in their 10th and 8th seasons, and won't last forever. Conway looks like more of a RT than a LT. Top five test score. One bench rep from blue score. Great size. Above average agility, .04 from a blue score. Is only 23% developed, but he has time to learn. Probably a career backup.
5.22 (150) FS Al Endsley 6'0 - 204
Starting FS Lenny Shaye is entering his 11th season. Endsley has above average speed. One bench rep from a blue score. Good agility. Top five position score. Only 31% developed, will have to learn on the bench for a bit, but there is time for that. His abilities fit my system, and thats what I look for in safeties.
5.25 (153) RDE T.J. Manley 6'3 - 270
My most intriguing pick. Is he a DE or DT? Will he be able to bulk up to be a 3-4 NT? I see Manley as a DT/NT. He has the frame, just needs to put on a bunch of weight. If considered a DT, he would have a blue score in strength, test score, and agility. Only 28% developed, he too will have to sit for awhile.
6.7 (167) C Tyrone Santorum 6'3 - 296
My current starter at center is average, but I don't see Santorum coming in and challenging him. Top ten agility. He was .01 away from a blue 40 time. Top ten strength. Average test score. Should be a serviceable backup center for years to come.
7.9 (201) QB Howie Denemy 6'3 - 221
Quarterback was not a need at all. On the roster I have starter Henry Andrews, former 2nd round pick, entering his 3rd year. At backup, I have 11-year-vet Kenny Gaylor, who had an amazing year in 2009. Denemy will challenge FA signing Donnie Vecchio for the 3rd spot. Denemy ran a 4.53 40, the fourth fastest among QBs. He tied for 6th in test score. He doesn't have much strength, or much agility, and only an average position drill score. But his QB style fits with this offense, and could develop into a long-time #2 behind Andrews.
7.23 (215) FB D.J. Sera 6'0 - 236
I don't expect a lot from the FB in my offense, and I can get by with the two average ones I have on the roster. Sera was just intriguing. He had the top position score of all fullbacks and the top agility score. Also a top 10 40 time. His strength is average, his broad jump was average, and his test score was 3rd worst. He is only 28% developed, so he might be a long shot to make the roster, but I am interested to see how he turns out. My scout (good at RB and young talent) said he was underrated and gave him great bars.
7.31 (223) P Grady Gardner 6'3 - 212
My punter has to be one of the worst in the league. Gardner tied for first in bench reps, tied for 3rd in test score, top ten 40, and an above average broad jump. Not sure what any of those mean...hopefully the dude can kick far.
