Don't listen to anyone, Shark.
Keep him in A ball. Make sure you slow cook him as much as possible.

He looks like he is already a better option than Alex Gomez against RHP.
Maybe they would be a good platoon for this year, with Gomez also serving as a defensive replacement late in games as Salazar gains more experience in the field.
That's what I would do, anyway.
Maybe Salazar isn't as talented as some other guys on the board.
But there's something to be said about getting someone who can play now instead of a 17 year old who might be good five or six years from now.
I'd personally give him a couple months in AAA and if he does well there, straight to the fire kid.

I see that Salazar is all over the board. Well shark, all I can say is that if he's the guy the Dallas Sharks are proud to draft then you made the right pick!

I had a round full of talent in my list, and Salazar wasn't on it. But per my previous post about my scout's discrepancies, I'm not shocked.

Not that I rely solely on his opinion along, just really weird this year.
I wonder if my low scouting budget has something to do with that?
In some cases, the OSA's rating is drastically different than what my scout predicts.
I'd like to say it'll be fun to see how many swings and misses he has this year, but considering I have 5 picks in the first 3 rounds, and in a deep draft pool, I'd hate to screw this up.

With the #4 Overall Pick, Dallas Sharks selects LF Willie Salazar out of Orleans Cardinals.
My scout really likes this guy and projects him as a future Impact player, who bats left, perfect for my Stadium, consistency at the plate with .386 / .320 / .355 avg in the last 3 years of College, heŽs not a star fielding but should be okay, hopefully heŽll develop a little bit more with his "Very High" Work Ethic.
