Lots to like about O'Hearn but I fell in love with Owens' long term potential. O'Hearn looks like he could enter the bigs in a season or two.
I stayed away for a couple reasons. My Scout had four potential categories decreasing (eye, power, contact, K's) in his March 2014 scouting report. The second reason was the continued decrease in his feeder league. Ever since I watched TJ Dunn set records in NCAA, I want to select somebody that is crushing it at their current level.
Well I have to hold the fraft until tomorrow evening, that will be for your tomorrow morning guys. Time to sleep and work in the morning gere in the UK
With the third pick in the 2014 BLB Amateur draft, The Pittsburgh Millers organization is extremely proud to select:
Jamie O'Hearn, CF, Bourne Braves.
O'Hearn tops the list of the best hitting prospects I've personally seen since I've been in this league. He looks like the centerfield version of Ethan Bafford according to OSA 6/6/7/5/5 and my scout has him at the same numbers.
My scout's scouting report summary is:
"O'Hearn could be one of the dominant hitters in baseball for the next ten years. Has practically no flaws in his hitting. If he can stay healthy, he could end up in the Hall of Fame."
His intangibles were what separated him from everyone else, because as talented as he is, he also has Very High leader ability, High desire to win, and a high work ethic.
He expects to be in the major leagues, and we hope to see him in the majors soon.
