  • BLB Trivia

With Jamie Herboholtz just 25 K's away from tying the All-Time Record for strikeouts, I though it would be a good time test our knowledge of the BLB.

    Question of the Day:

Name the top five ACTIVE pitchers, with the best (lowest) career H/9 IP ratio.

    No peeking.

Looks like everyone is missing the last guy. I guess he is an unexpected name of sorts.

Travis Neal was the last one. He was Top 5 in K's 8 seasons, most IP in 4 seasons, lead the BLB in WAR twice, with a career 125 ERA+.

Pitching behind Mejia and Herberholz, you don't realize how good this guy really was.

We're expanding. Every player in the BLB and minor leagues is available to be drafted. What 3 players do you build your team around?

                          Players with BLB Experience:

                          Pitcher -

                          Position Player -

                          Player with no BLB Experience:

                          Prospect -
                          Death Valley Scorpions (2003-Present)
                          Division Champs '05 '07 '08 '11 '13 '14 '15 '16 '19
                          IL WC '09 '10 '12 '17

                              Players with BLB Experience:

Pitcher -I'll go with Fajardo. Only 23 already on the Top Players List. Probably only 2 years out from dominating day in day out.

Position Player -A bit of a homer pick but I'm going with Oscar Sanchez. Can field every outfield position and is an XB machine. He's an intangible beast and should be able to lead a team for the next 7-8 years at just 28.

                              Player with no BLB Experience:

Prospect -I'm going with "Boom Boom McCormick. He's got real talent and fits a Baltimore type of player.

Baltimore Bulldogs - BLB since '84
                              - Porter Champs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12
