I got offered a Top 25 pitching prospect... But he is fragile. To me, his value is not as high as maybe another guy with inferior ratings who is not fragile.
I favor control and GB% over Stuff and Stamina.
Again, these are all my take. My opinion.
What I said to you that has you LOL'n is that I will not alter my value of MY players based on the fact that they may not play as well on an inferior team. Nor should I. Nor should anyone else.
If you're giving me $100 in services, should you pay you less because you're going to the Dollar Store to spend it?

My only top 100 dropped making it very possible I'll need to reevaluate his ability to play everyday CF.

I don't usually talk too much about my prospects, but since others have done it, here's a quick rundown of where the Carolina players are at:
4. SP Jonathon Burns
11. LF Jerry Brown
22. SP Marlon Huffman
55. RF Tyler Quinn
59. SS Pat Wallace
67. SP Tyler Christensen
72. SP Jin-Soo Baik
Recently traded SP Vern Campbell is in at #98.
So, only 7 current Tobs prospects on the list. I think Burns will start the season at AA and Brown will get there sometime during the season. Huffman went 16-2 with a 2.59 ERA at AA last season. They are the stars of the system at the moment (and can all be yours, if the price is right).
#3 overall isn't a bad showing considering how many of my top guys have come off the list. I think at this time last season I still had Hamilton, Deleon and Aparicio on there.

California drops from #3 to #7 overall.
Marshburn dropped from #2 to #9 overall and Pillsbury went from not rated when he was drafted... to Top 60 as late as last week... to back to being unrated this sim.
In good news, though he hasn't even hit .200 yet in his two year career, Zimmerman makes his debut at #91 on the prospect list.
#9 - OF - Sonny Marshburn (BLB)
#24 - SP - Doug Bates (AAA)
#28 - SP - D.J. Bright (AA)
#47 - 1B/3B - Joey Kelch (A)
#79 - OF - Zuo-qian Zhang (AAA)
#84 - SP - Shawn Lawson (AA)
#87 - SP - Jeremiah Washington (AA)
#91 - C - William Zimmerman (A)

Philly moves up a bit to 8th overall with 7 position players and 2 pitchers now on the list. We're lead by the 2nd ranked position player (8th overall) CF Tom Swanson. Two other position players can be added as case studies for whether or not very raw players can develop after struggling for several seasons at A Ball: 2B Shane Like (68) and 3B William Petrie (73). Both players jump on the list due to their potential (this is Like's 2nd time to jump on the list), but both will probably quickly fall off as they struggle against more advanced competition in A Ball again.
Like (20 years old) will be starting his 3rd year at A Ball this season after accumulating a dreadful .150 | .212. | .186 | .398 slash line in 633 A Ball AB's so far. Petrie (19 years old) was a '95 draft choice, so he's only just begun his early career struggle process, but was just as inept: .109 | .112 | .122 | .234 in his first taste of Pro ball. Good luck gentlemen, you're going to need it.
Surprisingly two pitchers make their debut on the list: SP Ed McGuire (90) and SP Alejandro Ramirez (99). Both project to be #4-5 type starters and we honestly never really expected to see either on this list so we're happy to see them get a little recognition, even if both did just barely make the list.

Then in '97 they are at a $93.1m payroll with only 17 players under contract, and will lose two good players, C McCarthy and MR McGinnis to FA. Basically they need/want Doorbell to go.
I don't hate Clay (all though he could gloat less)...I just want him to work for it. He built the Evil Empire after years of suffering but it's time for it to fall.
Then, next year when Woodbury is off the books (that's a Mutual Option), I not only have the same team that wins the title in '96, I have CAP money should I want to spend it.
Look... I tried to trade this off-season to shake things up to actually make my current team a little worse to help you guys out. It's not my fault everyone came at me with the same misguided thought that I was cap-strapped.
NOTE: This post, like all of my posts, are tongue-in-cheek and intended to further cement my reputation as a blowhard who gloats about something as unimportant as my Text Sim team. No actual egos were stroked during this post.
