Nobody's browbeating. I guess I'm just speaking from the perspective of being frustrated that I tried to determine whether people would be leaving a few weeks ago to combat this type of thing happening. Now the new owner will be unable to resign potential UFAs and have little time to spend evaluating his own talent before being thrown into the offseason with lots of roster spots to fill and lots of money to spend. And meanwhile, everyone else will wait to start the offseason while we fill the empty spot.

Again, nobody's browbeating and if people aren't enjoying the league or have other commitments, they're welcome to say they're leaving. It's the timing of this more than anything else, that's all. But I guess as commish, I forfeit the right to criticize those types of things and have to give everyone a free pass for the purposes of taking the high road and not "browbeating."

I agree with you, it is an issue of timing, for the league and the replacement. It's also tough to watch a reliable and active owner just walk away...

I'm not sure what the history everyone is discussing, but I've been involved in a discussion or two that carried historical meanings, and I know good people can get carried away. . .

The OSFL is filled with good people, now on to the post season so I can kick the AC West' Collective Asses again!

Okay, since I was edited before, I'll leave it at this.

This is two people now who had off seasons and quit. I'm thinking "Wah, I didn't win a championship so I'm out", especially in this case. His old team retired like 9 people on him, and he knows they blew their best chance at a title, so he quits.

Anyone agree? :P

Agreed. That's my problem with it... Well, that, and the BS timing.
If he quit all his other leagues, well, no problem... But he isn't from what people are saying, which is a blatant "FU" to all 31 of us.

The delay shouldn't be long. We only have to fill one team. I would be surprised if it isn't filled by tomorrow. Do we not have a waiting list going? It's not that big a deal, so let's drop it and move forward.
