I hate the FA process. Throw your offers on the table and have the player pick one. This constant upbidding for 6-9 weeks is ridiculous. I could see if you are being low balled but geez.

Hey, me too. Players sit on offers longer now, and I'm thinking it makes more sense to start combining stages instead of running them individually. That's also easier on the owners, as we won't have to export as often.

So this week, this year, we ran

                M-F: FA2, FA3, FA4, FA5, FA6

Instead of that, we could do:

                M: FA2
                W: FA3-6
                F: FA7-10

Maybe run FA11 the following Monday for FA cleanup, and then no sim until the rookies are revealed. I'm also thinking of revising the draft schedule this way:

                W: FA3-6 (Round 1, pick 1-8)
                Th: (Round 1, 9 - 16)
                F: (Round 1, 17-25)
                Weekend: no drafting
                M: (Round 1, 26-32)
                Tu: Round 2, W: Round 3, Th: Round 4-5, F: Round 6-7

This removes the untimed portion. People will know when to check in for their Round 1 picks and if they don't, the timer will auto them. I do like the slow roll, but this way should be easier and clearer to everybody. The big problem with the slow roll is it takes a week, during which nobody has any idea what day they'll be up.

Great idea...and I was just thinking the same thing. Just wasn't sure if it would mess anything up.

We sim 2 weeks at a time in the BLB (OOTP) and it works great.

I like this. Won't be so hard to keep up with FA.

                    - Porter Champs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12

What I want is an easier way to tell what stage players are looking to sign on. Most of my headaches with FA would go away with that small addition.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about being a pain.

I actually never use the Grey Sheet. Perhaps I should, but what I'm talking about should be visible on the "Continue Free Agency" screen. Should post on FOFC about that.
