(Nota bene: if we hadn't, nothing would have happened until the draft start on Wednesday. At that point, an owner who hasn't registered for the draft would be considered fair game to be placed on autopick.)

I honestly don't know, but I would've picked somewhere elsewhere with the pick. Unless the plan is to move him to Tackle.
I would definitely to count myself in the camp (usually) of "I'll find some OG later in one of these drafts". But at the same time, with star power at a premium, anytime you can land a truly exceptional player, it's hard to be too bummed about it.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

My thoughts is that talent is talent.
Having an elite player at any position that is on the field EVERY offensive play cannot be quantified. That extra 3rd down conversion, extra pancake block or extra 2-3 seconds for your QB doesn't seem like much but I don't think its a bad pick. He's an elite player.

I feel bad for Joe Thomas. His talent is being wasted on a team like Cleveland where poor management is constantly shooting themselves in the foot.

SpoilerThat may be an exaggeration, I'm almost certain it was only 27 years in a row.
