I honestly don't know, but I would've picked somewhere elsewhere with the pick. Unless the plan is to move him to Tackle.
Don't forget about the additional yardage per carry overall that he'll bring.

Thanks to Rob's endless supply of friends, we've managed to get a human owner in to make the pick. Thanks, Bridge!

(Nota bene: if we hadn't, nothing would have happened until the draft start on Wednesday. At that point, an owner who hasn't registered for the draft would be considered fair game to be placed on autopick.)

I kind of love that there's so many different ways to think about team building. On the one hand, he's just a guard. On the other hand you can sort of say this about other positions, too -- maybe? ... Or maybe not.

I would definitely to count myself in the camp (usually) of "I'll find some OG later in one of these drafts". But at the same time, with star power at a premium, anytime you can land a truly exceptional player, it's hard to be too bummed about it.

My thoughts is that talent is talent.

Having an elite player at any position that is on the field EVERY offensive play cannot be quantified. That extra 3rd down conversion, extra pancake block or extra 2-3 seconds for your QB doesn't seem like much but I don't think its a bad pick. He's an elite player.

That's a really good point. Joe Thomas hasn't missed a snap in close to 8,000 plays.

Big run on WRs there! Good to see not everything in FOF has changed.

Is Motor City an AI team?

he's also been ridiculously good as a LT, I think he has let few if any defenders sack the QB.

I feel bad for Joe Thomas. His talent is being wasted on a team like Cleveland where poor management is constantly shooting themselves in the foot.

It's kind of funny that the NFL practically made a film telling them not to draft QBs in the first round anymore. A gentle nudge of advice from the league office.

                  Guard at 1.2?

WTF is wrong with that? Isnt this a basketball league?

Norm will be the best guard picked since Utah picked Stockton.

Norm Ocasio does not look like he would fair well after a position switch. At 6'2 and 294 lbs he would switch 83% to LT and 86% to RT.

The guard will definitely be a star player and a safe pick. I can't say that for sure about the WR I took. I am really having second thoughts that I should have taken Hoffman instead.

How did you get the 1.5 pick? NICE!!! that WR you took will be great.

If his potential is something like 90 at G, it might be worth it

Rob's been added to the "quit trading picks to him" slate. He'll end up one upping Nuts/Aston for the 37 consecutive year Championship run.

Well, that's a bummer if that was ever in the plan, which it probably wasn't.

I would've taken Hoffman as he's much more likely to be a stud, but Ramsey's return ability can't be denied. If his return bars hold you'll have one heck of a return stud.
