I'm still stuck trying to figure out how the trade went down at all. 4th yr, 70 overall WR not on the block gets traded for a single 1st round pick. Wha? What crazy world do we live in?

Probably like "Hey I'll give you a 1st round pick for your WR Lake."

        "OK cool post it up."

So this 4th round NT, M. Arnott, that I drafted is an interesting case. He's way too small to play NT (only 265) and to short to play DE (according the position change assistant). But according to my scout, he was the guy with the biggest potential jump in EX2.

What do I do with him?

I would have traded my entire next draft for him. Might have put us in the playoffs.

I'm bummed I forgot to take advantage of the new guy first.

Ok I need to finally address the WR Lake issue. I have played the game for over a year. I have gotten better at the game itself but one thing I still have not learned is the Etiquette of trades. I also still seem to have issues with determining the value of certain positions. I always think if a guy goes 1st then all I expect a 1st. But now I see the issue. The guy was developed and proven which is a big difference than just a pick for a pick . So I will try in the future not to make such a snap decision . I will also show patience when dealing with trades.

I have a question for the vets. What is the Etiquette on private GM trades? I did read the rules but did not see any specifics so I assume this is just a mater of gamesmanship.

Again sorry for the noob mistake...

So in another league a DE is on the block.

                    LDE

                    Run D – 61
                    PR – 84
                    PRS – 90
                    PD – 71
                    PH -70
                    EN – 70

2nd year player that went 1.2 is currently sitting a 55/74 and has a Volatility of 74

                    I offered this seasons 1.8 and 2.10.

He now wants years 1.8 and next years 1.x

Now I am way off from being competitive and knowing my next years pick will be in the top 10 is this a fair offer? I do have a lot of cap room so I could work the FA market next season in place of the lost draft pick.

Ask bomber if he'd accept this trade if he was the one dealing the player. That's your answer.

It wasn't suspect from your end, it looked more like an established owner preying on a new owner.

A 70+ rated WR should easily net you a 1st and 2nd, if not multiple 1sts.

Also, putting him on the block will lead to more of a feeding frenzy that's better for you.

I wouldn't trade two top 10 picks for him, no. Looks like a pass rushing beast, but you could feasibly draft this same guy with 1.8 and 1.x next year. Why have one when you can have two?!?

Bingo. Always has to be one to screw the new guy. Happened to me too. Hats off to Bridge for being that guy.

Can you please expand on this or re-word it? I am not sure what your question is.
