I'm not justifying what he has done, but even if he had made his pick, we really wouldn't be much farther.

Not Liberty, bruh. I'm only red because I'm here today.

The difference is the other guys are responsive. If I shoot Welsh Wizard or Elprez an email, they will either make the pick within the hour or shoot me an email letting me know when they will be able to make their pick.

I hate to single out anyone because we all make mistakes and have other responsibilities. But when it happens 4 straight days and people are asking you to put the list on auto if you are going to be busy...and u still dont do it? Thats disreapectful imo.

      • Then the biggest problem isn't that we're waiting on him, its that we've probably waited for his pick more than any single GM in the league, EVERY ROUND. People are just tired of always seeing movement then an abrupt stop when Ohio Valley comes around.

Notice how before we got to him this thread was about good/bad selections. Whenever this happens(a stoppage in drafting, or even an expected stoppage in this case) the topic and tone of the thread changes.

        • Well, getting back on topic...

What does everyone think of my most recent selection and trade?

I know a lot of people were high on Nolan Hinsley, but what about RB Craig Price? I think he has a very good chance to help share the rushing load this season after my starter retired. He could be a really good 3rd down back. His combine numbers are all really good, except for the position specific drill.

And what about the trade? I got a former 2nd round pick and a former 5th round pick, both who look decent (at need positions), along with a future 2nd, for a 4th and my backup QB.

          Thoughts?

Well since we've got time on our hands,

Someone in the 4.16-4.25 range, if you don't see anyone you like and would like to get out of the fourth, I've got a 5.15, 2009 5th(Memphis), and 7.15 this year? pm me.

              • Any takers on the 4.16-4.25 here in the room, it will determine who I choose. Gimme 5 minutes to work it out with anyone who'd like the extra late picks and a little help next year in the draft.

I had Price as a selection in the 4th if I didnt get my guy in the 2nd. He will be a solid backup and 3rd down back.

                  • Prez is on the clock.. Pennington is a nice consolation prize after losing out on Fernando Craig earlier.

                    • Looks like lots of people were hoping to get a WR in the middle of this draft.

Did nobody scout Leighton? I know one of you did....c'mon....

                      • Went for the biggest RED TARGET out there, 6'4, 220 with respectable speed, Myron should have a couple weapons out there now.

Yea I think EVERYBODY was looking for Fernando to fall into their laps, but since he could only be on one team we all are looking at our backup choices.

                          • In order to ensure that we complete the draft prior to this weekend, I've decided to decrease the maximum time between draft picks from 6 to 2 hours. Some owners may be upset with this abrupt change but I'm making this change for the good of the league. I feel the league has lost some momentum because of the amount of time owners have been taking to make picks. I also feel that while all picks are important, picks from the final 3 rounds do not need 6 hrs of consideration. Please post below with your thoughts. Thanks.

Wow, I thought I was taking a little bit of a gamble, but I'm really excited about that pick now.
