  • I took a flyer on Winslet (RB) for two reasons... the RB class couldn't possibly be THAT bad.... and... he's from my Alma Mater... I'll mold him.

      • If I didn't already have a good young RB and needs at other positions, I would have rolled the dice on Winslet. Even in a bad RB crop, the highest positional score at his position has to count for something.

        • that's kind of what I'm thinking. Worst case scenerio... I blew a 4th Rounder when there wasn't anyone that I was really interested in anyway. My scouts had him VERY UNDERRATED as well.

          • Another auto coming? I think we've definitely set a draft record for auto picks this year.

It does seem that way. But I wasn't sure.

              • I think anyone taking an RB now is getting decent value. I mean, the 2nd and 3rd guys are 5.0s... which I know is not the end all be all, but I think people stayed away from RBs so long that now they're underrated. I would be willing to bet last year people were taking 4.x rb's before the 5th.

I think you are right but its more because of circumstance than owner inactivity. Last year we had Brooklyn as the owner who never made a pick. This year its S. Maryland. Also, St. Paul doesnt have an owner because of Soobie's situation. Except for those 2, I think we have only auto'd 2 times (3 if Dakota doesnt pick here.)

Yeah I think the pace has been excellent this year. We've been moving pretty steadily and should easily be done in time for Friday.

                    • Agreed. At least if you have to auto for Dakota... you can do it back to back with S. Maryland, Skerik is on... I'm Auto.... more auto behind me... we'll pick up pace again.

True, I guess it just felt like more. But you're right about owner activity - despite a record high number of auto picks, I think owner activity and participation across the board is probably at an all-time high as well.

                        • Was hoping you wouldn't have to auto as I was planning on taking Harris Powell at 5.17 if he fell. Back to the drawing board.

                          • Sorry about missing that pick. My bad.

I like the pick of Powell, looks to be a nice short yardage guy.
