Exactly, he knew we were drafting if he couldnt get to his computer he should have queued his selections. It's 2 full days and we aren't out of the first round. This is the kinda of stuff that blows the lid off lets all not bitch and moan. So, the next person that misses his time slot we set around and wait also. What about the people who check in every 10-15 minutes hoping to see their name coming up. Not good for league morale.

Denver selects FL Jerome Bennett.

I'm not giving any team a FB in the 1st round. Don't like it... too bad. This league isn't looking to lose owners, and giving someone a FB in the 1st round is certainly a way to do that.

They need a OLB the most, but WR is what I went with as it was second on their list. Once again, this is what needed to be done. I'm sorry if some don't like it, but I did what I thought was best, and will benefit the team the most.

If my pick comes up at work tomorrow, where I don't have access to the game when deciding between potential draftees and evaluating potential trades, I'm going to be lobbying for a time extension until I return. Granted there's no good way to auto-draft for teams who just patently don't show up for the draft, but it's stupid to let people be away from this board for 24+ hours at a time during the draft, without putting anyone in their queue, and just say, "Eh, they'll come back whenever they feel like it" while everyone else is expected to hold to the given time limit.

We all have real life committments, but come on. Either the time limit exists or it doesn't.

I made a promise to myself that I wasn't going to comment on expediency of the draft this year (I'm used to leagues being done their drafts in 2-3 days with the 1st round being done in hours not days), but I have to say that I completely agree. Either we stick to the rules that we set out before the draft, or they become meaningless.

I love the irony in this statement. Screw the rules that were set forth prior to this pick! Screw the fact that he's been away for over 24 hours! Let's reward him for his failure to load up his queue! We're not looking to lose owners! If you don't like what I did, screw you, too!
