we tradtionally do bad against the rays but this WAS my best chance at a win in the next few weeks with Waco and Utah back to back


The good

Frodo didnt throw a pick, and i really only got beat on 2 plays

The bad

those 2 plays were a 54 yd td pass and a 91 yard td run

the ugly

13 points cant crack the red zone

odd score for an odd game this is one of those where i firmly believe the outcome was determined and the stats are generated after, we tired to give it away and frankly we didnt deserve to win 2 picks a fumble lost 1 td in 5 trips in the redzone. with morison out i was pleasantly surprised even tho we threw it 44 times and Burke was double teamed almost extensively he played well

The good

burke has 10 catches for 141 yds and manningham breaks off a 52 yd td to close out.


The bad

only 1 td in 5 tries in the redzone still cant figure it out

The ugly

run defense still pretty bad we allowed 5.58 ypc thank god waco only ran it 12 times

Utah 14 Phoenix 20

well even the sun shines on a dogs ass once got lucky and utah gave one away they did everything right they pounded the rock 29 runs nearly 7ypc. but FOFL gods were cruel to the bees 4 turnovers

The good

at least i wont get swept this year, i expect game 2 to be very different. with morrison out frodo completed passes to 9 different guys

The bad

not effective running the ball still cant come up big in the redzone 2 tds in 4 tries including a 1st and goal from the 3

The Ugly

Run D is getting worse i even started 3 dts to slow things down and no luck

2027 Rideres Ride again

'26 was a roller coster ride for Phoenix fans after starting the season 1-4 we finished 8-4 including a stretch of 5 in a row before gettin whupped by Utah.

we did make the post season and got our 1st playoff victory in 13 years after going to a tough ohio team and eeking one out in the snow, only to fall victim to the swarm of utah.

so in the offseason we were fairly quiet in the FA market (translation we got out bid for the big names) we went more for locker room huy Bernard Monty was brought in to mentor our young MLB we needed in the draft Joel Dotson and Bob Zapata were brought in to be leaders and drive up our affnities to make up for the influx of new talent (13 draft picks), and retirement of Allen Rose and Trevor Pruett, lowering our cohesion

this draft was extremely defensive as 8 of our picks were on D 3 of those guys will start from day 1 mos of the rest will be in the mix. and hopefully will slow down the buzz saw that is utah

Alfred morrison is on the wrong side of 30 so frodo doesnt have a lot of time to work with him left. well see what happens this year.

this year will be a tough year the shire offense seems to work against everyone EXCEPT Utah so well need to figure them out or we cant be considered a contender.

Week 1 vs Denver utah may be the bully on the block but Denver is his mean cousin from the next town over. they are very capable of winning 10 games and beating us senseless


Week 2 at Yuma this used to be a rivalry for the state of arizona now its just a joke yuma has whupped us almost as bad as Utah thank god we dont play that often. a measuring stick game

Week 14 Vs Las Vegas coming off a 14 win season what do you do to follow up? i dont know but it sucks to be on the wrong end of it. Las Vegas scored the 2nd post points in the whole league last year i dont see them slowing down


Week 15 At Utah late season division game could decide my playoff fate or be the final nail in the coffin

8-8 will be tough with out improvements on D we should be better than our -11 give away/take away frodo was responsible for 33 turnovers (22 ints and 11 fumbles)


our 2 goals for this season are ball security and balance

Really? REALLY? not a single offensive td between the 2 teams, Frodo gifted a pick 6, another slobber knocker to be sure.

i know "sample size sample size" but my rookie 1st round lb had exactly 1 tackle in 43 plays. a bit concerning

Pho 24 Yuma 23

A game we fully deserved to lose yuma spotted us 21 and we still screwed the pooch. Yuma then ripped off 23 unanswered while we did our kepstone cops impersination. yuma had the ball on the 25 ready to kick a fg with 32 seconds left 3 timeouts remaining. and for some crazy reason they throw a pass into the endzone and its picked off

yuma got hosed by the end of game logic


we now head to the mash unit know as portland game #2 of our 4 game road trip 2 words

another ugly game the D has carried this team.

Speaking of D Rookie LB lee baxter isint coming along as we would have liked only 11 tackles this season in 3 games on the flip side DT donovan Wright had himself another game 6 tackles 1 blocked pass and his 1st career sack sack also his low endurance seems to not be bothering him back to back games with 61 & 48 plays and hes not tired yet!

Cb Lamar Campo has come along nicely as well 3 passes defensed 4 tackles and an assist in nickel back duty
