Sammy jennings goes down in a heap against las vegas out for 3 weeks with a concussion we had to go to the pen and call on Lamont Emerson our stater in 28 who led the team to a 9-7 record and a playoff birth. we obviously were concerned but Emersons 3-1 career record against the Monsters made us slightly more comfortable

10 long years since we last won our division granted it was mostly thanks to randys addiction, but now to look back

all kinds of franchise and league records were broken. Stan Morrison sets the single season receiving yardage record 2164

Bernard kirk had 19 sacks. but its all for naught now the real season starts anything less than beating utah and earning a title is a failure

we needed the week off and HOPEFULLY Sammy Jennings and a few others will be 100% after the bye. Mostly wanting Dexter Kulaga back we need his nasty streak on the line especially against utah.

smoke and mirrors we had one of the easier schedules this season (7th easiest) and lots of luck, Randys "illness", Denvers collapse, and being relatively injury free.

we traded away our only draft pick (3.29) and everyone is a year older, hopefully better. A 14-2 season is considered a failure, i guess its good that the bar is set so high. but that brings with it pressure.


We chose not to resign S Winfred Osborne in favor of ex Bomber Glenn Shelton gives us a younger team and hes a a god compliment to Larry Anderson. and will help 2nd year man Randy Hutcherson come along in a 3 man rotation at S

so as we brake camp we look forward to the 31 season, we ended up being suprisingly busy in the off season adding 10 players to the roster. the biggest move was trading for former Utah dt Bubba Humphrey looking to improve on our sack total from last season (53 2nd in the league). in our 2 losses to utah we were unable to sack the qb even once

its not often you can say a 14-2 season was disappointing but it was. out franchise 3rd trip to the conference finals. not sure what more we need to do to top the bees but well try. good news was no big drops in the off season so and we return 21 starters and look to tweak things to get pass the bees

that is one nasty pair of CBs over there. Leinning and Morrison combined for only 7 catches. LA forced a couple of turnovers b(1 int i sack fumble) but the biggest thig was 0 for 7 on third downs i did not convert a single 3rd down, and we averaged voer 10 yds to go on 3rd down.

that defense will give people fits. GG not looking forward to round 2
