How is that a prototypical strike out guy?
Wouldn't a 4-7-4 indicate that the guy doesn't strike out many guys, but is hard to make solid contact on? Thus he'd have a low K/BB but a good OAVG? And with such high movement he should have one of the lowest HR allowed IMO.

My scouts are all over hte board with him, they can't agree. My top pitching scout who is an 80 on pitching says 4-7-5. My head scout who is a 75 says 4-7-4.
Now I have three other pretty good scouts that all say 6-8-6. So it could go either way. No doubt this is a prototype strikeout pitcher. But he could have some big time control problems and give up his share of long balls.
Like I said, boom or bust, but very tempting.

Good pick, Z. I had Heller on my pitching short list, but I need some bats.
I'm looking to get back into the 1st round. PM me if you have a first rounder to move and you're interested in any later picks.

That's interesting. My scouts aren't great but they were pretty convinced in his potential. He's just a kid though so we'll see.

My scouts have him at the biggest boom or bust pick. Very tempting, could be a major stud, but has some potential to bust as well.Originally posted by Sully View PostToby Heller is another guy I like. I'm surprised he lasted until 10, but I guess the guys from 3-9 needed offense. Good pick, Z.

I need offense too but Heller's too good to pass up. Not only can he pitch, but he looks like one of the few workhorses in the draft as well.

I almost went with Garcia, but my needs are much more evident at 1st. Oh well...

Love the Garcia pick. I was blindly hoping some how he'd last a little longer.
