The sorting is a known issue with the utility. I think it has a note about it on that screen. Same thing happens with the awards and all-star voting.

I ended up having the Utility sort by Name then I was able to add players with no issue.

There's a couple in the Cape Cod that look good. Nicknames are Pizza and Deranged. Lol.

Miller scared me. That injury, and his stats regressed each season in college. My scout has him as a potential mid-rotation guy.

I like Vonada as well. Strikesout a lot but his senior season at Long Beach State was phenomenal. 24 HR, 65 RBI and a 1.162 OPS in 46 games?! He also looks to be pretty elite defensively and a plus runner. Not a leader but amazing intangibles.
Burkett was a guy my scout had high on his draft list but his ratings and report left a lot to be desired. I had three other OFs above him. Strange abilities. Hit just four doubles but 19 HRs this year.
Ron Miller is currently injured with a torn rotator cuff and won't pitch again until 2005 at the earliest. I've had success drafting injured pitchers. Throws 98 MPH. Has elite control. Very high leadership. Very high work ethic. Despite going 5-17 in college I think he could be a good one.

Vonada is a nice pick. A well-rounded player. I don't think he becomes a star, but he's a safe bet to have a long career in the BLB.
