Recap:
LF Alex Villarroel - High risk high reward. The first international. My scout says "not quite elite, but close." 4-4-8-5-5. OSA loves him. He has no fielding ability but with Sully running a DL team, that's no worry. Lefty. In The Sandlot (Dallas Ballpark), lefties have a HR ballpark factor of .810...
2B Jamie Wentworth - I really like Wentworth. Improved almost year by year, despite an injured 2003. Fielding, speed, good eye, good k/bb ratio, team leader.
RF Ethan Bafford - This was my #1 OF. Scout says could be a possible HOF.
LF Wayne Lawn - Inconsistent with his performance. Didn't play for some reason in 2002. Looks solid ratings wise but I thought he would have lasted for a bit longer.Last edited by Pat; 12-02-2013, 10:29 AM.

Los Alamos selects LF University of Texas product Wayne Lawn with the 8th pick of the 2004 draft.
Lawn looks to be a future mainstay in the OF for the Amigos with a possibility of being an impact player. His defense is good with a tremendous arm and he has a lot of speed.
His eye isn't where we would like it to be, but his contact and power potential looks just fine thank you very much.
We really wanted Wentworth, but happy to get Lamb. Hopefully there is something solid available at #14.

We had Wentworth as the second best middle infield prospect behind Nelson, and absolutely love what he brings to the table with his speed, defensive ability, and overall makeup. Dallas didn't envision taking Wentworth this high. After seeing how the first four picks played out, we felt Jamie was more of a complete package offensively and defensively as opposed to some of the other hitting prospects that are still on the board.

With the 5th pick in the 2004 BLB Draft, the Dallas Snappers select OF Alex "General" Villarroel.
Alex is young, and very raw. The Dallas organization severely lacks any elite hitting prospects, and we feel Villarroel has the potential to be an incredible LH power hitter at the BLB level one day.
