    Anything above 0.0 is equivalent to the number of wins that player is providing above replacement.

    So 0.1 means 0.1 more wins than a replacement player.

      • Wondering if you would like to write down your input about the different kind of managers... I don´t have too much idea of strong and weak points of the different orientations... I guess is important in how you build your team:

        * Conventional
        * Sabermetric
        * Smallball
        * Unorthodox
        * Tactician

        Thank you as ever for whose that will dedicate some minutes to guide the rookies

        • A manager's "style" has to do with his sliders...in terms of in game strategy.

          • Not something I'm going to read all the way through.

            Threads like that are what stopped me from playing FoF the first time around.

            I have no desire to peek under the hood.

              Thanks Pat, very useful

              Delandis basically it says managers and coaches matter, but the label doesn't :)

                I don't think that guy even knew what he was talking about.

                That was just the top result I found via google. I was unable to find a OOTP Manual portion that talked about this topic.

                    Me either.

                    It wasn't an accusation bro.

                    I just read the first paragraph and knew I didn't want to go any further.

                      I know. It's cool. I just saw the topic and thought it would be what Shark was looking for.

                      Yeah, disregard. It's probably not very good data.

                      I think you should be able to find out about those different manager styles by searching for each individually.

                        • If a minor leaguer plays during Spring Training but is sent down before Opening Day, does it count as an option year?

                            If he's on the 40 man roster, yes.

                                But a minor leaguer can still play in Spring Training without being on the 40 man roster?
