He has to be off your 40 man roster. After check your team payroll and following seasons he should be off.

Don't quote me on it, but I believe that your balance sheet only gets hit at a rate of 16% of the 280k (~45K) when a player is in the minors but making the BLB min.

In the older versions if you sent a guy to AAA, he could stay on the 40 man roster but he would be considered a minor league until you brought him up again therefore he wouldn't be on your books. You'd also lose an option which makes sense.

          • Question.

Alex Dominguez has an opt out clause for 2024. Does that mean he can choose to opt out before or after the 2024 season?

                • LOL the sharks are circling. Thanks guys.

I have a lot of questions since I've never waded this deeply into financial hell before.

If Carrasco decides to opt out of the contract next season (he was an IFA signing) do I still get to keep renegotiate through arbitration or does he go to FA?

I had to figure it out this season when I was SP shopping. One of the reasons I didn't make a strong push for Khe. Afraid of the opt out.

I believe you still have Arb. Look at Zhang. It shows him having 1 year of Arb after this year.

So what he can do is decline the contract...then go to Arb and get a lot more than the $12. My closer is asking for $16-$18m so that must be the new high priced role.

                          ok thanks.

I wasn't sure how it worked for IFA signings. I wasn't sure if there was some obscure baseball rule on losing arby eligibility or some other shit I don't know about baseball.
